Sony opens new VR-focused first-party studio

North West Studio seeking designers and programmers.

Sony Computer Entertainment has added a new studio to its portfolio of first-party developers.

Based in the North West of England, SCE North West Studio is “an ambitious new studio to create original games exclusively for Project Morpheus, PlayStation‘s VR platform.”

The studio is putting together a small, but experienced team of developers. They’re seeking a level designer, character animator, lead artist, game designer, lead designer, graphics engine programmer, gameplay programmer, and lead & gameplay programmer.

Sony previously said it would share more details about Morpheus, as well as its games, at E3 in June.
