Last year, Sony Computer Entertainment simulcasted its E3 press conference in movie theaters across the United States. This year, the movie theater experience will return on June 15, this time with a 150 percent increase in theaters, including one in every state, plus three cities in Canada.
Tickets will be free and made available at PlayStation.com starting May 27 at 9:00 a.m. PT. 80 percent of theater capacity will be reserved for ticket holders, with 20 percent of the theater held for those on the wait list, who will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Attendees will go home with undisclosed PlayStation goods and digital codes. Last year’s attendees received Battlefield: Hardline beta and Destiny alpha codes, as well as a poster and VIP laminate. The theater broadcast will also feature a 30-minute in-theater post-show hosted by Geoff Keighley with extended footage and developer interviews.
For those unable to view the press conference in-theater, Sony will also live stream their E3 press conference online, as well as live demos and developer interviews from the E3 show floor.
