Tokyo Ghoul: Masquerader introduces new protagonist
Rio is just a young ghoul trying to save his brother.Tokyo Ghoul: Masquerader, Bandai Namco‘s upcoming adventure RPG for PS Vita, will feature a new protagonist designed by original manga creator Sui Ishida, the latest issue of Jump magazine reveals. Ishida is also collaborating on the game’s story, which does not appear in the manga.
The new protagonist is a young ghoul named Rio who “becomes key to the story” and is pursuing someone to save his captured older brother. The magazine teases a connection between Rio and the manga/anime’s protagonist Kaneki.
The game will allow players to freely travel around Tokyo’s 23 wards, talk to characters, and deepen their relationships with them, which will afect the game’s ending.
A release date is still unannounced.
