Hyperdimension Neptunia Vs Sega Hard Girls

Compile Heart announced a new crossover game between its Hyperdimension Neptunia franchise and Sega Hard Girls for PS Vita at the Dengeki Bunko Spring Festival in Akihabara today.

Sega Hard Girls is a series that depicts consoles from throughout Sega’s history as goddesses, which makes it a perfect fit for the Compile Heart franchise.

The game, tentatively titled in full Hyperdimension War Neptunia VS Sega Hard Girls: Dream Fusion Special, has no set release date.

Further details were not announced.

          Not every game on 3DS/Vita sells more on 3DS. Vita versions outselling 3DS versions isn’t unheard of. Conception II sold more on Vita if I remember right. Hell, Vita versions can also outsell PS3 versions, depends on the game.

          3DS doesn’t automatically mean more sales.

    This is too perfect to be happening! In fact, I only got to know this Sega Girls thing because of Neptunia and immediately thought a croosover of some kind would be cool. Now Nep-Nep’ll have a lot of rivals!

          That’s a pretty bad generalization. Of the spinoff titles, they’ve been fairly varied in themes and developers. You can’t really say it’s going to be bad just because it’s a spinoff.

          If you didn’t like U, you might not like the Blanc one, that much is true, but this game is an entirely different situation.

      I don’t think so in the anime at least. Though, I remember the wikipedia page calling goddesses, so maybe they were called that in an interview?

    Sega Hard Girls was a “warm fuzzies” anime for a former Sega fanboy like myself. I’m glad the anime was received well enough that Sega isn’t going to let the character be forgotten.

    Given that Sega were involved in the original HDN game before going in their own direction with the SeHa Girls, it feels apt for things to come around full circle.

    Of course, I’m stil hoping that there’ll be lblue and red colour options for Dreamcast-chan and for Uzume (assuming the latter were to be included in this game, that is).
