Nintendo announced Pokemon Shuffle, a new free-to-play eShop puzzle game for 3DS, during its Nintendo Direct presentation this morning.
The game will task players with making matches of the same three or more Pokemon to clear them and finish the stage. Players have a limit to the number of moves they can make per battle, so you must effectively deal damage within that limit. Some Pokemon Mega Evolve and are able to remove many other Pokemon.
Players start the game with five hearts and use up one each time they battle. If you run out, you’ll need to wait for your hearts to re-up before you can play again. Or, you can also keep playing by using items obtained through regular gameplay or purchased through the Nintendo eShop. There are also various other items that can come in handy during battle, which are also either available via regular gameplay or the eShop.
Pokemon Shuffle will launch in February.
