Square Enix‘s popular arcade game Gunslinger Stratos is getting a PC version.
Gunslinger Stratos Reloaded is a four-versus-four online multiplayer action shooter for Windows. Players can choose from a variety of characters and weapons, and are tasked with destroying the enemy team’s core. New to PC version is ability to change weapon loadout while waiting to respawn during combat. There are also two new characters being introduced: twins Akane Chloe (left) and Asma Chloe (right).
Here’s a quick rundown of the story:
2115. The country once known as Japan has been split into two distinct worlds. One, Administrative Block 17 of the Far East Imperial Capital, is a world completely bereft of freedom and is under constant surveillance. The other, Stratos, more formally known as Frontier S, is a lawless world where freedom runs rampant. When these two worlds start to collide and merge with one another, each side sets out to eradicate the other in the hopes of attaining survival.
An alpha test is set to run from February 6 to 8 between 18:00 at 23:00 Japan time each day. Testers will be selected by lottery, with applications opening up on January 30 at 12:00 Japan time. Only 64-bit versions of Windows 7 and 8 are supported, and applicants must be residents of Japan (although, whether you can bypass that is another matter).
