Square Enix debuted a new trailer, Japanese collector’s edition and PlayStation 4 hardware bundle, and gameplay details for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD at Jump Festa.
The new collector’s edition, dubbed the “Ultimate Box,” is a Square Enix e-Store exclusive, and includes the following or 19,440 yen:
- A special box themed to be like an admissions package to the school
- “The Best of Final Fantasy Type-0 HD and Final Fantasy Agito” soundtrack CD
- School calendar that starts in April
- School ID
- Ace’s Magic card set (five cards)
- Scarf with Class 0 insignia
The PlayStation 4 hardware bundle includes a crimson red and black PlayStation 4 console with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD branding, a crimson red DualShock 4 controller, a copy of the game, and download codes for the Final Fantasy XV demo and a Final Fantasy Type-0 HD theme. It will launch on March 19 for 46,980 yen, with pre-orders opening on December 22 at 13:00 Japan time. High-resolution shots are available at 4Gamer.net.
As for gameplay information, Square Enix has updated the game’s camera, showing off a video comparing the old camera versus the new camera, which has been smoothed to resolve collision issues with geometry, and whose targeting has been improved to make both characters and enemies more visible. Because of these modifications, characters can now run around faster and more smoothly. For example, Ace can teleport around quicker, and Shiva can move faster.
Square Enix mentioned again that Final Fantasy Agito+ for PS Vita has been delayed to an unspecified date, and announced that Shiva costumes are coming to Final Fantasy Agito for smartphones in January.
