Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker clips introduce the Anguished One, Tycho, more

The latest set of Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker trailers introduce characters the Anguished One and Tycho, as well as several gameplay systems.

Among the systems, you’ll see demon gathering via auctions, leveling up your demons in battle, and fusing your demons to make newer, better demons.

Watch the trailers below. The game is due out or 3DS on January 29 in Japan and early 2015 in North America.

Anguished One

The Anguished One is a recurring character in the Septentrion chapter of Devil Survivor 2 who has a tendency to suddenly appear before the protagonist and his friends, the former of which he often refers to as “Shining One.” A true enigma in every sense of the word, he poses myriad ambiguous questions while providing few answers himself. Depending on the player’s choices during the storyline, he can at times be fought as an enemy, while at other times work together with the protagonist and his party. In the Triangulum chapter, he, along with Yamato, are seemingly nowhere to be found within the new world.

Tycho

Tycho is the players’ Nicaea contact, who can be selected as either male or female. Tycho is an artificial intelligence built into the game’s devil summoning application that will support the protagonists through a variety of methods. Tycho will have a different tone depending on the gender you select.
