Famitsu this week dates Gust‘s November-anounced Atelier Rorona game for 3DS for release in Japan on March 26.
If you meet certain conditions in the game, you’ll unlock another mode/game called Atelier Astrid, where you play out the younger days of Astrid Zexis and Sterkenburg Cranach.
Thanks, Games Talk.
Update 10:42 a.m.: New information has come in via Sokuho@Hokanko:
The game is titled New Atelier Rorona: The Origin Story of the Alchemist of Arland, which is the same title as the updated PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions. Given that they were localized as Atelier Rorona Plus: The Alchemist of Arland, that’s what we’ll be calling it.
The standard version will cost 6,264 yen while a Premium Box will be available for 9,504 yen.
The game features a revamped battle system where players look down on a grid-like field. Players see the enemies on the field before encountering them. Items have a limited range of effect and battles as a whole play out in an strategy RPG-like fashion, but on a more intimate scale
The new elements of the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions seem to be in tact, however, less costumes are available as the team selected only those that seem to look good on chibi characters.
