The release is part of the “Game Arts Game Archives Festival,” which is being celebrated as part of the developer’s 30th anniversary. The original Grandia is already available as a PSone Classics title for PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and PSP.
Grandia II first launched for Dreamcast on August 3, 2000 in Japan and was followed up with a PlayStation 2 release on February 21, 2002. It follows the story of skilled mercenary Ryudo and church songstress Elena, who Ryuo is charged to protect. But their journey together reveals that the church, as well as the world’s history, is not all it seems.
