Famitsu has gone up with its first online preview of the newly resurfaced Rodea the Sky Soldier for Wii U and 3DS.
The action game begins on the floating continent of Garuda, in the ruins of which a curious girl named Ion discovers and reactivates Rodea, the legendary “Majin” machine soldier, after a 1,000 year slumber. Rodea lost his memory and is found with his right arm completely destroyed. All that remains of his memory is a “fierce battle from the past” and “a girl with facial features similar to Ion.” He and Ion join forces to fight against the machine empire of Naga, who are approaching Garuda with the aim to capture the continent’s “Gravity Energy.”
Rodea the Sky Soldier will launch in Japan in spring 2015. First-print copies of the Wii U version will include Tenkuu no Kishi Rodea, the original and unreleased Wii version of the game.
