Daedalic Entertainment is bringing Silence: The Whispered World II to Xbox One, the developer announced.
The 3D adventure game will launch simultaneously with the PC and Mac versions in early 2015. It follows Noah, a teenage boy who lost his little sister Renie in the real world and must go to Silence, a world made of dreams, in hopes of finding her. Daedalic promises an “emotionally investing yet humorous story,” the appearance of “old friends,” and “many new features.”
“Silence has always been a multi-platform project,” Daedalic studio manager Steffen Boos said. “From early on, we planned to release Silence: The Whispered World II on consoles as well, but we wanted to make absolutely certain the controls were tuned to each platform before announcing its console status.”
Boos continued, “We think the new generation of consoles offer a platform that is ideal for indie development, and with the new gameplay we’re introducing to the adventure genre with The Whispered World II, adventure games now also can be a good fit to consoles.”
