Bandai Namco has released a new set of Kamen Rider: SummonRide screenshots, showcasing Tire Exchanges, the Crystal Base, and more.
Kamen Rider Drive has a special ability called “Tire Exchange” through which he can change forms by ‘exchanging’ the tire on his suit. The screenshots show Speed, Speed-Spike, Speed-Shadow, and Speed-Flare-type tires.
SummonRide is set in a world consisting of five attributes. The “Crystal Base” is the hub of it all. It is a different dimension from the real world where the Kamen Riders exist. From here, players can access the worlds of fire, water, wind, light, and darkness.
Speaking of attributes, each Ride Figure has different attribute variations. For example, there are light attribute and wind attribute figures of the Kamen Rider Drive figure. This ties into the Battle Gimmick system, whereby players will be temporarily gated into a combat arena and forced to change out to a figure of an advantageous element to progress, hinted at by the color of the surrounding barrier. A purple barrier, indicative of darkness, indicates players should swap in a light element figure, for example, whereas a blue barrier is best dealt with using a wind element figure.
Additionally, in every stage, you’ll find a number of sealed gates, each different in color. If you switch your Ride Figure with that of the matching attribute, the door will unlock.
Of course, SummonRide also supports four-player co-op play for every quest in the game. You’ll see plenty of that in the screenshots, as well.
Kamen Rider: SummonRide is due out for PlayStation 3 and Wii U in Japan on December 4. It is an NFC-based game that includes a base and figures, which are required to play.
