    • Kit

      She’s 15. =))
      Her name Mirai btw.

    • fyi1191

      Looks just like you.

Old Solidcat, you can’t fool them. >_>

    • bloodiOS

      Like Esther?

    • SadamBober

10 in cat years, so it’s ok

  • Zackasaur

Wtf, I want a physical/legitimate/real version in the west. >:|

    • commodorewheeler

As much as I would love to see it, I highly doubt that it happens. Can’t think of anything more niche than this.

      • Zackasaur

        I can. :P

I feel that it is still worth fighting. Sometimes Xseed are reasonable.

        • osa

I would say XSEED is very reasonable just about every time. They are tiny but it feels like they always do what they can with what they have.

          • Zackasaur

Which is why I think the community need to show how much we want physical Bon Appetit! It would at LEAST double sales and fan reception/loyalty.

            • osa

double? I’m not so sure about that:)

There are even more risks involved for this one compared to other SK games.

              • Zackasaur

Double is a conservative estimate. This category of gamer is on average highly conscious of the benefits of physical copies.

Digital-only is in direct cultural conflict with the kinds of gamers who buy these games.

          • Zackasaur

Nah, they can be obstinate and slow, in addition to screwing things up.

I do like them a lot, but they still have room for improvement. As fans, our job is to make that clear and support what they do right.

      • Elvick

Hyperdimension Neptunia PP… Even got a Limited Edition for that.

  • Josephl64

Already bought both packs when it first got released in JPN.

Now to finally get them physical ~~~

  • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

Hope those avatars weren’t the free ones on the Japanese PSN

    • Josephl64

Doubt it, but even if they were available like that prior I can’t be too upset since it’s just a tacked on bonus they didn’t have to do.

  • osa

They are milking this series a little too much.

    • TheBlackRabbit

      How. ..

    • Nonscpo

Well thats happens when the most recent game comes out and only sells to 50% of its potential audience on 3DS.

    • Dark_Tzitzimine

Not really, if anything the series was starting to fade out a little before. I wouldn’t past Takaki to this having been his plan since the beginning though.

    • Josephl64

I don’t see this being the case at all

  • Varnes

Oh god, here comes the hell storm from the western audience wanting one too XD please keep it civil

    • Nonscpo

No, me want a physical copy…wa wa wa!

    • Zackasaur

They only deserve civility up to a point. :P

  • Eclipse

Well done, Marvelous! Those first-print bonuses for the previous SK games were really nice, so I’m glad they’re including them with this.

    Physical >>> Digital

    • Zackasaur

      Physical ftw.

I want physical in the west. :c Digital always feels like a rip-off.

  • TwinBuns

I’m starting to think Vita retail releases are the norm in Japan and the opposite everywhere else in the world. Even Terraria got a physical copy in Japan.

    • Zackasaur

      Lucky Japan.

    • Kevadu

Well, the Vita is much more successful in Japan. So it’s not really surprising.

    • http://gematsu.com/ Sal Romano

Well we got Terraria physical here, too, just not on Vita. =/ PS3 and 360, yeah. And soon, PS4 and XBO.

  • Elvick

Gimme. Definitely puts me off digital of it in NA. They should at least try a preorder thing. Require a certain amount to make, then do it just for preorders or something.

    • Josephl64

It started off as digital only because he wasn’t even sure it would be liked enough in Japan. I understand why he is doing this even if I might prefer everybody to have physical goodness

      • Zackasaur

The lesson they clearly learnt in Japan should be a lesson to Xseed as well.

    • Luna Kazemaru

I guess you going to be just importing it then i see no reason why Xseed should go out they way to do that when they are already straining their resources enough as it over the copies for SV

      • Elvick

Ignoring that there are ways to provide the chance to get it without risk, one of which that I already mentioned.

        Shoo naysayer.

        • Luna Kazemaru

lol right no risk lolk naysayer my ass

          • Elvick

Please do explain the risk in creating retail copies for everyone who orders preorders.

Please explain how the above is a risk with the additional condition of a preset number of preorders required for them to manufacture retail copies.

You make no more than you already sold. You required a number of orders that made it viable. (since bigger orders = cheaper production usually as to encourage more business)

  • Bob Slim

Well ante that a shame dang you Japan always getting the good stuff.
I dont think xseed gonna do this later on

    • Zackasaur

We ought to fight for it, at least.

  • Daverost

Sure would be nice if Xseed decided they could pull this off and were willing to, but as cautious as they are around physical releases of the series right now and with the game’s release coming up so soon, I doubt we’ll see it.

One more for the “high hopes and low expectations” bin.

Curious to see what they’ll do now when asked about a physical release. They’ve been clinging pretty tightly to their “It’s digital-only, just like in Japan” excuse.

    • Zackasaur

I intend on putting as much pressure on them as possible. Others should do the same.

The game would sell much better physically…

      • OverlordZetta

I… kind of doubt that. The physical copies won’t make themselves, and the people who wouldn’t get it digitally are probably in the minority since until today it wasn’t even an option.

        • Zackasaur

You underestimate digital boycotters, collectors, double dippers, those who only buy digitally on sale, thoes who can’t keep up due to memory card space, lost pre-order sales, lost retail advertising/presence, and general apathy.

With a game in this niche/genre, those add up to more than half of revenue. Xseed know this pretty well. They’re just unprepared for Bon Appetit.

          • Luna Kazemaru

So i assume you are begging them on twitter lol man you people sometimes

            • Zackasaur

I haven’t used Twitter yet, but thanks for the suggestion. c:

There is nothing wrong with fans trying to get a company to do the right thing. If you don’t start to seize some power while you can, you’ll lose more and more.

Personally, I WANT to see this sell well for Xseed. But that won’t happen with digital-only.

              • British_Otaku

Your enthusiasm captured my interest (and reminded me how passive I am for things I like), I imagine you live in the states which is why you are planning on pressuring Xseed, but consider looking into Marvelous Europe as well. Europe isn’t getting a retail release for either Bon Appetit OR Shinovi Versus.

I have the email address of a staff member kind enough to share a business card at a convention, don’t spam too much, logic and reason will at least bring us answers and understanding.

                The Marvelous email address: ben.liu@maqleurope.com

Petitions aren’t nearly as powerful as shouting through their ears (not literally) on their social networks, forums and such so get to work!

Personally, seeing Shinovi Versus as a retail release would feel like a victory alone but why not go for a home run. Getting caught out doesn’t mean we lose everything.

                • Daverost

It’s a little weird seeing SV go digital only after you guys got Burst in a physical format (with an incredible LE that I’m super jealous of), so I imagine it must be due to a difference in the perception of the 3DS and Vita markets over there. Over here, I think it’s just that Xseed realized there was more of a demand that they thought for the series and they’re trying to satisfy the loud people who kept asking for a physical Burst release.

                  • razón

The biggest reason why SV is download-only is because Marvelous Europe is literally 4 people of whom no-one knows anything about releasing physically, and Zen United is afraid of Vita. Until Marvelous Europe gets the staff to release physically, they have to rely on other distributors to do it, who don’t necessarily want to cooperate.

        • Elvick

They will if the way Xseed handle it is that way…

They could just open up a release for pre-orders only and only do it at a certain number of orders if they need to.

Covers all the cost right there. Zero risk.

I bought Class of Heroes 2G solely because they did that for it. Preorder only physical copies. I just wanted to support a company doing something awesome for their fanbase.

Now, I’ll have to wait for a sale for this if Xseed don’t want to bother with retail. I put my money where the worth is. And the worth is physical for me.

      • Daverost

If nothing else, it always works as a way to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.

        • Zackasaur

Definitely, and that fact often goes underappreciated. Happier fans will create more fans and be more likely to pre-order the NEXT game at full price.

    • OverlordZetta

It still released as a digital only title. I don’t see any reason for them to change.

Anyone who decides not to get it over this and pesters them about it when it easily could have not come at all is really pushing it.

      • Zackasaur

        I don’t mind pushing.

    • Luna Kazemaru

I don’t see how something that was true is an excuse… let alone I feel they don’t need to go out of their way and 180 plans just because suddenly they wanna throw in a retail version of a dl only game out of no where.

      • Zackasaur

If it took extra time, we’d be happy to wait.

If legitimate, physical copies were limited to LEa only, we’d gladly pay.

If only pre-orders were physical, we would gladly pre-order.

If we needed to get a certain amount pre-ordered to get physical, we would campaign for them.

And if they will stick to digital-only, we will sadly have to wait or import.

      • Daverost

It’s a valid excuse, but it’s still an excuse. And it was really their only ammo in calming down people who tended to get a little uppity about whether or not there was a physical release for Bon Appetit. I’m just not sure what they’ll do when confronted with those people now because it’s not an excuse that really works anymore.

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Oh hell yes. I never bought this yet so now I have motivation to.

  • crazyhunter

Hell yesh an import will be made asoon as the pre orders are up

  • https://www.facebook.com/TheSlimyMudkip Sludkip

OH NOICE! I’ve gotta’ get physical copy rather than a download! I just hope it’ll make it internationally. More specifically to the UK~ >_<

  • PrinceHeir

    Want this!!!!!!!!!!
