Media Create Sales: 9/1/14 – 9/7/14

Xbox One launched in Japan last Thursday, September 4 to 25,000 units sold within its first four days, this week’s Media Create sales figures reveal.

Famitsu sales this morning charted the console at 23,000 units sold.

PlayStation 4, in comparison, opened to 309,000 sales, and Wii U to 308,000. Its predecessor Xbox 360 opened to 62,000 sales when it launched in 2005.

On the software side, Yokai Watch 2 is back at number one after being knocked down by Persona 4 Arena Ultimax last week. Three Xbox One games are in the top 20—Titanfall at 9,000 sales, Dead Rising 3 at 8,000 sales, and Forza Motorsport 5 at 6,000 sales.
