Xenoblade Chronicles X’s world map is more than five times bigger than its predecessor’s

Thank the inclusion of the game's new mecha vehicles.

The world map for Xenoblade Chronicles X will be more than five times bigger than that of Xenoblade Chronicles.

Speaking to this month’s Edge magazine, Monolith Soft president Tetsuya Takahashi said, “Vehicles are called Dolls. They are five times larger than a person. So to get the same feel as Xenoblade Chronicles, the map would need to be five times bigger. The game world in X is in fact even bigger than that.”

Xenoblade Chronicles X is due out for Wii U in 2015.
