It’s Thursday once again and you know what that means: Falcom has released another small batch of preview information for The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki II. In lieu of the typical character profiles, however, this week’s update almost solely focuses on side activities that players can encounter over the course of the game. Our translation of these details is below.
The In-Game Model for the VOFAN-Designed Preorder Bonus Costume Unveiled!
As we previously discussed, one of the bonuses that people who have preordered the game have unlocked by reserving the game in such high numbers is a wearable costume designed by popular illustrator VOFAN. This time around, we’re pleased to be able to show off how his art will look in-game! Check it out below!
Old and New Activities Coming to Sen no Kiseki II
- Customizable Orbal Motorbike
One of the new pastimes coming to Sen no Kiseki II is the ability to tinker with an Orbal Motorcyle that Rean will be able to get his hands on. By acquiring books and magazines about Orbal vehicles, you’ll be able to customize the coloring of his ride. Similarly, the sidecar is also modifiable, with parts that can be swapped in and out.
A longtime mainstay of the Kiseki series in general, Sen no Kiseki II once again lets you gather and make recipes to concoct food for use in combat. Not only do different characters each have their own strengths and weaknesses, there are also plenty of different recipe types to try out as well! What’s more, characters who can now fight in your party such as Tovar, Elise, and Claire can also be selected to cook things as well now.
Whether it’s in a dungeon, while you’re out on the town, or somewhere else altogether, Sen no Kiseki II is dotted with Fishing Points, which naturally denote where you can go fishing. Doing so will net you Catch Points, which can be spent in exchange for a number of useful items. You also have a Fisherman’s Rank. Raising it by catching more and more types of fish will not only make this rank go up, but also give you more high quality items to choose from when spending Fishing Points, so it’s in your best interest to catch as many different fish as humanly possible!
Like in the previous game, as you meet and get to know characters, their in-game profile will become progressively filled. Even more so than before, this feature should prove especially handy in providing clues for completing objectives in the game, especially with respect to tracking down old classmates who have now scattered with the wind.
The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki II remains set to come out for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan on September 25. Check out the standard slew of new art and screenshots at the gallery here.
