Fantasy life sim RPG due out on September 26.

Fantasy Life

Fantasy Life, the fantasy life simulator RPG from Yokai Watch developer Level-5, will come to 3DS in Europe on September 26, Nintendo announced.

Additionally, the company has detailed “Link Mode,” an online communication tool activated by visiting the in-game Guild Office in Castele, which lets players connect to friends while they’re playing Fantasy Life at the same time to exchange messages and tips, and alert each other of your achievements.

Players can also link up with up to two friends via local wireless or online multiplayer to explore the game world together. Online multiplayer has its own chat feature that lets players communicate while adventuring together.

Finally, the game uses StreetPass functionality to bring other players into your game world as citizens. Befriend them, and you might be rewarded with items. You can also unlock the “Snapshots” function, which will let you take screenshots of your game using the Start button.

Interesting. I thought Inazuma going to Europe sooner made sense because of soccer/football being more popular, but maybe L5/whoever at Nintendo is localizing L5 titles just leans more towards Europe?

If you guys get Danball, I’ll be importing one of your 3DSes, lemme tell ya.

Welcome to my world with Atlus games :)

        You have my sympathy, seriously.

Nintendo really needs to quit this region lock with their next handheld.

  • Heisst

Thank goodness it’s the Link version and not the old, online-less one.

I’m pretty sure we’ve known for quite a while that we’re getting the Link version. c:

    Day 1 baby!

Hm, hope that little spinning Earth on the “online” logo means it’s worldwide, non-region-locked online~ One of my pals has the Japanese version, and I’d be rather heartbroken if we couldn’t play together. Just holding out on preordering ’til we know—if it’s locked, I’ll just import the JPN version ahahah. Looking so forwards to this; what a charming little game!

Maybe it’ll be like Bravely Default where we got the For The Sequel version as a launch here in the states concurrently with the Japan release. And the networking features were day 1 world-wide for everyone.

But I’ve got New Leaf and Tomodachi Life already…
    ….Okay :)

Different genre’s o.o. This game is a like a MMO in your pocket just minus the people.

        Sounds addicting :O :)

October 24 confirmation for NA? :D?
