See how the free-to-play dungeon RPG has improved.

Deep Down

The Deep Down public beta, originally planned to launch sometime in 2014, has been delayed to 2015, Capcom announced.

But not all of today’s update is bad. Capcom also released a seven-minute Deep Down gameplay video showing the game’s various improvements since it was last shown.

Watch the video below. Deep Down is in development for PlayStation 4.

This game is actually shaping up really nicely!

Each new showing makes me more excited to play it.

I’d rather have a developer delay a game 6 months to a year for one reason and that reason is simply because it gives them more time to work on further improving the game. My only worry is that this game will be nickled and Dimed to death. Such is Capcom.

Can’t allow myself to be too much excited before i learn about their payment model. It looks good though.

    lolololololololololololololololol XD

    I knew it XD

    • Solomon_Kano

      I’m dying.

      • Anime10121

This has gone past embarrassing XD

        • Solomon_Kano

Now we wait for them to push it to TBA and join the ranks of the other vaporware out there.

          • Lelouch Vi Britannia

            for Example FFXV anyone.

    • MrKappa

Deep down we all knew this would be delayed.

  • Zukato

  • 武神水樹

We weeeewwwww, oh well it’s free

    • Budgiecat

I’d rather this be a retail game than free.

      kinda hard to trust Capcom…

      • kao

yeah, if I know anything about F2P it’s that most of them are virtually unplayable with some microtransactions.

And since this IS capcom were talking about I don’t expect them to be subtle about it. I expect a bunch of annoying ads to pop up in the middle of the game/loading screen and “pay some dollars for extra lives or wait a few hours”…

      • Lelouch Vi Britannia

agreed there. I’d rather pay $30 for a full retail game and by Full I’m meaning 100% of the game like the old days.

        • Infinity

Ha! I could still remember when you didn’t have to worry about rather content was removed from the game, and then made into dlc, where you had to unlock extra content just by playing the game and being good at it as well.

Those days are long behind us.

  • Elle

At least we see improvements!!! I would be pissed if it still looked the same with the delay announcement.

  • PrinceHeir

Lol Capcom should have finished all preparations instead of announcing stuff :P

  • Zero

Capcom – Deep Down Beta will go live the same day as FF15. Final release date for the game will be the same day The Last Guardian comes out. It’s our of our hands now, wait for Square-Enix and Sony. xD

    • shogunknight

Its becoming one of the lost cause titles

  • tokyobassist

They probably aren’t releasing this game in the West because the netcode will be shit outside of Japan. Just my guess.
