Dead or Alive 5: Last Round

Dead or Alive 5 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as Dead or Alive 5: Last Round, Koei Tecmo announced.

The game is due out in Japan in spring 2015.

Watch the teaser video below.

Thanks, Games Talk.

  • Bob Obb

It’s a shame that Tecmo is trying to be more like Capcom instead of Namco. Harada’s working on like 3 new fighting games while this team is working on like the 20th version of DOA5

    • DrPhantasma

I do wish they’d just focus on making a new DOA instead of new versions with more content and whatnot, but I do appreciate them adding new things like characters. I like them trying to keep the game alive as long as possible, as many fighting game developers abandon the games rather quickly. I’ll probably get this on the PS4 though, as the only version of this game I bought was the original. Seriously hope this is the last version though and that they start putting their focus outside of DOA5.

      • OverlordZetta

I don’t understand why people think these things mean they can’t be also thinking about a new DOA.

A new DOA would probably not be coming out this soon. They’re fine tuning this one and making it better, and in this case just making it available on consoles it isn’t available on.

        • DrPhantasma

Of course it wouldn’t come out this soon, I’m just saying that they DOA5 isn’t their only possible thing to focus on. I like that they’re making this as I personally didn’t buy DOA5 Ultimate and this seems to have the extra characters, there’s also the nice fact that it’s on the new consoles, which need games. I just wish they’d pull back on the reins for a bit on DOA5 as it’s hard to buy the newest DOA and a lot of the DLC because financially that’s a bit tough. As in, I bought DOA5 and a lot of the DLC, but then DOA5 Ultimate came out and it was kinda disappointing to have wasted all that money when there was a better version that already had the DLC in it along with new DLC. I don’t hate that they do it, I just wish they’d slow it down a bit at least. I’m hoping this will be the last version though, that way I can get it on PS4 and be able to focus primarily on that without worrying about a new version coming out after wasting money on previous content.

          • OverlordZetta

I don’t really get the “wasted money” comment. Did you not play that game? Unless you bought it when Ultimate was already out, I don’t really think it’s fair/true to say you wasted that money. You might have regretted it after the fact, but if you played that game, then that should be what counts, right?

I understand how it feels to get a game and then a better version comes out later, but if you still enjoyed that first version, and better yet, got the worth of money you paid then out of it, then to me, I feel that should be the important thing. When you bought it, was there an Ultimate to regret over? At the time, were you feeling regretful while you played?

I don’t mean to come off as patronizing, but I just see these kinds of comments a lot about these things, but I’m willing to bet when people were actually playing the original games, before the newer versions were an issue, they didn’t feel like they wasted their money at all, and shouldn’t that be what counts here?

            • DrPhantasma

Yeah, but I bought the original DOA5 and so much of the extra content only for a better version of the game that already had that content for free to come out later, along with new characters and extra content unavailable on the original. I spent 60 dollars on the game + 55 or so dollars on extra content when I could’ve never bought either and bought DOA 5: Ultimate for just 60 dollars for that amount I spent before. I don’t know if waste is the right term, but there was definitely regret involved by the end.

              • OverlordZetta

Don’t get me wrong, I get that completely – I think every single person who’s been around the block in the gaming world today has experienced that at least once.

That’s exactly WHY I’ve come to look at it like this, honestly. These things do happen, but as I said, you may regret it now, but what about then? You could have regretted not having the game, not being a part of the community, not experiencing all of those things you did then.

Yes, there are always things you’ll miss and risk when you make a choice like this – you chose to get the game now and ended up facing the reality of Ultimate later on. However, think about what you gained: You got to play that game and enjoy it then. You didn’t have to wait the time everyone who thought a later version might come did, and while you may not have the extras they might now, you still have that game, and you still have the enjoyment it brought you then, and you shouldn’t let a new version of anything ruin a previous experience for you – the only one who loses out there is you.

                • DrPhantasma

Fair enough, I get what you’re saying.

        • itsjustmeyo

It’s just because people assume that if they put work into this port, they could’ve gotten those guys to work on DOA 6 to speed up the process. Instead of trying to milk the game with I think a third installment of DOA 5. Sure it’s not at Capcom’s level yet, but it’s getting there.

It’s also just pretty frustrating to spend 60 bucks on a game to then hear a couple of days later (exaggeration in this case) announced with extra stuff. I have no doubt that this will at least come with the new characters that were added and maybe some DLC as well. They’ll most likely also put out PS4/Xbox One exclusive DLC as well.

          • OverlordZetta

I disagree with that, personally. I believe that the work they put into this could go right into 6, but this can be used in the meantime to stay in the game now and not lose momentum with fans and competition, plus provide their fans something to do while they wait for 6. Not only that, this in particular isn’t even coming out on the previous consoles as the other entries, meaning it’s not quite like those “upgrades” anyway. It’s a smart move – and no one has to buy anything they don’t want to.

To that end, the bigger issue here is the nature of these games and their origins as arcade titles, as I mentioned above.

            • DrPhantasma

I do like it a lot that they’re keeping the game alive unlike most fighting game companies. I also like that it’s coming to next gen, but man, that remorse over buying original DOA 5, only to have a new version come out is real.

              • OverlordZetta

It’s real, but keep in mind that that’s only something that exists after the fact. The enjoyment you got from the original DOA5 is also real too.

            • itsjustmeyo

That is true. Nobody is forced to buy anything. But keeping the community alive is most likely easier and better by just regularly patching and balancing characters. That’s how most fighting games stay alive. I do agree then that it wouldn’t matter at all because most likely the same guys working on the DOA 5 port would be doing that work then, but at least it saves people the frustration and “fear” of buying a game just to see an updated version come out with a lot more things included for most likely cheaper than the price you bought the game for.

I know that right there is the reason I still don’t have Blazblue CP and the reason I am unsure if I will buy GG Xrd on release date (I’ll most likely crack.)

From one standpoint you could say it isn’t hurting anybody. But they’re sort of alienating a huge chunk of their playerbase if they decide to completely focus on the PS4/Xbox One versions and completely forget about the PS3/Xbox 360 ones. I’m not saying that will happen, but it’s not like such a thing never happened before either.

              • OverlordZetta

Typically, the updates made in these cases aren’t always things you CAN add through patches – or they’re collections of the things that have been added through patches and DLC. It’s been done, certainly, and many still do it, but the bigger fighting games don’t seem to do it from what I’ve seen, and especially not the ones with their origins in arcade games.

That’s going to happen, and in those cases, we’re at the point where we just have to say tough luck to those people. We’re in the next gen now. We can’t keep supporting the last one forever, else the new one is never going to take off. It sounds harsh, but it’s just the truth of the situation. If they feel alienated, well, that’s their prerogative, but I think that’s silly – what did they expect? For the PS3 to get support forever?

I’m more annoyed they only gave one Vita iteration, personally, but I got over it.

                • itsjustmeyo

That’s all true, I do have to argue with you on the “PS3 to get support forever.” Surely noone expected support forever. But if later iterations of what is essentially the same game do come out. IMO it’s not too much to ask to at least have them still support the last-gen versions even if it’s just the costumes or extra characters. But IIRC I read that the last batch of DLC was the last one for DOA 5 which pretty much means that they are gonna shift focus to the PS4/Xbox One versions of the game and possibly just abandon the older versions. That is my biggest gripe.

That is all speculation though. For all we know new characters that will come out on the new versions will be added to the older ones later on and maybe even the balance patches they’ll most likely add to the new versions.

It’s not like I actually blame them for doing this. They’re a business and their main purpose is to earn money. I just dislike upgraded versions of what is essentially the same game. Even though this is different since it’s a different console. I just never really liked that about fighting games.

With that said it was fun discussing with you but I must be going now. Have a good day.

                  • OverlordZetta

From a business perspective, though, while it might not be too much to ask for the fans, it does make sense for them. The newer consoles need these titles, and considering the timing, it doesn’t make sense to keep making games, even games like this, cross-platform. At some point, last-gen is going to get cut off. It’s inevitable, unfortunately.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree with you on a personal level – I got the Vita version and we only got the one version. But looking at it from their perspective, and I think you agree with me here, I don’t think they’re really doing anything wrong is all, and thus, I can’t complain.

                    Likewise! Take care.

    • OverlordZetta

Let’s be fair here. This is less like a SUPER DUPER STREET FIGHTER and more like DoA Remastered. It’s not coming to the previous consoles, after all. Pretty logical step if you ask me.

  • Juuu

Goodness, I was initially a bit bummed out that I skipped all previous iterations of DOA 5, as I’d played friends’ copies with them and REALLY enjoyed it, but now that the title has gone through Street Fighter-esque levels of new upgrades, perhaps the wait was worth it. Hopefully this truly is the “Last Round,” heh.

  • Tetsu

I suppose I’ll get on board with this version.
As long as they don’t make this a F2P only model.

  • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

They should include a ton of the dlc costumes for free but they probably won’t

    • Tetsu

I’d pay full-price if they included all DLC. That would be amazing.
      Never gonna happen though lol

      • James Reilly

No shit it won’t happen since it would slap the consumers who bought the hundreds worth of DLC. It will be like ultimate where some of the DLC was included free but rest you still pay for.

        • OverlordZetta

I’m not sure how it would slap them any more than how any Game of the Year Edition slaps anyone.

That said, it’s probably going to be as you describe. Some of it will probably be cross-buy too. They did that with Dynasty Warriors as well.

          • James Reilly

Most GoY editions don’t have hundreds of dollars worth of costume dlc.

        • Bob Obb

Those people were already slapped in the face when they decided they had nothing better to do than spend hundreds on virtual bikinis.

    • DrPhantasma

Hopefully they at least do a large portion of DOA5 Ultimate DLC, but maybe I’m being too hopeful. At least they seem to have the DLC characters.

      • Digidyne017

They should be unlockable at least.

        • DrPhantasma

          Yeah, that’s what I’m hoping.

    • futuristic_imagination

I hope they will add all the dlcs, I would consider buying it again for full price. Its probably not going to happen (prob add like half). If they do that, hopefully the costumes that we bought would be usable in DOA:LR.

      • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

I asked the Japanese KoeiTecmo to add free dlc, we’ll see what happens

        • futuristic_imagination

I kind want to know too. Hopefully we get an answer soon or we might have to wait for TGS.

          • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

They’ve charged so much for them in the past so hopefully they aren’t greedy this time

    • MrKappa

Over 300 dollars for free? How would they continue to milk their fans if they did that?

      • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

        Dlc depreciation

    • DrForbidden

They might include the new characters, but not the costumes. Milkers have to milk, yo.

  • ayb_91

Boobs and only boobs again. Yaaaaay -___-

    • DrPhantasma

You’re thinking of the spinoff series, DOA Extreme Beach Volleyball. Boobs aren’t the only appeal to the main series, sure breasts are nice and all, but DOA honestly has some of my favorite gameplay in all fighting games and some pretty varying, diverse characters, regardless of breasts. Just because they use breasts and breast physics to try and give it some attention, it doesn’t change that it’s a solid fighting game.

      • GozuTennai

It does change it………………….For the better!!!!

        • DrPhantasma

lol, I like the breasts, but that’s not WHY i buy the games. Buying games for breasts is silly when I can just go online and look at a pair within seconds.

          • GozuTennai

I dont doubt for a second that you like the breasts, my good man!

As you say, solid game underneath and since the character design overhall for 5…………..oh man.

            HNNNNNNNNNGGGGG!!!

      • ayb_91

        Still. Boobs and only boobs.

        • DrPhantasma

Hate the boobs or don’t hate the boobs, either way they take absolutely nothing away from the main series. I seriously have few fighting games I like as much as DOA (Smash Bros. and Persona 4 Arena are high up there though) gameplay wise and character wise, most just feel too slow IMO. BUT OPINIONS BE OPINIONS.

          • ayb_91

You said it yourself pal. You can search for boobs online. A game is supposed to be a game, not ultimately based on boobs. Tekken, Street Fighters, The King of Fighters … etc are good examples for what a fighting game should be like. Not to mention how great their game-play are.

            • OverlordZetta

There’s no template for what a game “should” be like. Saying a game can’t have boobs or sexuality in it is like saying a game can’t have violence in it, or anything else that isn’t pure gameplay. You may subjectively not like it, but so what? Someone may not like gore. Someone may not like plot.

If you don’t like a game, don’t play it, but to say a game shouldn’t “be” a certain way based on things like this, rather than actual flaws such as broken gameplay or having bugs, is ridiculous.

              • ayb_91

Lol. Who would look for violence online? And you are mad because? Plus, I won’t buy this game even if it is for free. However, I will always state the facts and only the facts. :3

I can’t stand seeing such a game on my download list, with all due respect to the fans, if you know what I mean. Still mad? Well, I just can’t buy it and don’t force me now to get it. :/

                • DrPhantasma

Nobody here is mad, don’t go down the “lel tr0llface” route. We’re just pointing out how ludicrous your arguments are. Also, facts =/= opinions, i know it’s shocking but there is a difference.

                • OverlordZetta

I’m not mad, but it sounds like you might be. Either way, you certainly aren’t stating facts, that’s for sure.

In any case, whether or not you can find something online is irrelevant. What does it matter if the game has some sexuality in it? They made that choice to include it as part of the design. Visuals are as much a part of a game as any other aspect, and every aspect comes together to complete the whole that is that game. If you start saying this or that can’t be or shouldn’t be allowed in games, you might as well strip everything away until we have little more than glorified calculators.

If you don’t like the game, simply don’t play it, as you say you don’t intend to. That’s all it takes. That doesn’t mean the game shouldn’t exist – the fact that it does is a wonderful thing. People are all different. They have different interests, different tastes, and so on. The fact that there can be a game like this in the same world there can be a Call of Duty and Pokemon and even whatever your favorite game is means that there are tons of different gamers out there, all existing together and enjoying the same hobby. Rather than trashing the things other gamers like, we should just embrace that we all have such options available to us, and that developers are willing to cater to fans of all kinds, because that’s AWESOME.

                  • ayb_91

Nah. I was just telling the truth. Why the people just can’t understand such a simple and plain fact? Was I talking about calculating the instant velocity of a car moving from east to west and its distance equation is 8x^3 +3x?

                    • DrPhantasma

If you don’t understand that facts are different from opinions and that you’re just repeating a line over and over again without explaining why boobs and sexuality in games are bad, then you’re either a “MY OPINIONS ARE FACTS” elitist or a troll, maybe both.

                    • ayb_91

Oh my !! Don’t release your eternal ego on me now. :(

                    • DrPhantasma

Oh my !! Don’t release your eternal troll on me now.
                      :(

                    • ayb_91

Persona is no match for this one. You know that deep inside. Come on. :(

                    • DrPhantasma

The only way now for me to stand a chance is to BURN MY DREAD.

                    • ayb_91

Ammm, I’m not following. If you were saying that Persona is better than whatever size of boobs this game might get, then I totally agree with you. :3

                    • DrPhantasma

I like the entire SMT series slightly more, BUT THIS SERIES’ TITS CAN’T CONTAIN ALL MY LOVE FOR IT.

                    • ayb_91

Well, you do seem happy about it. Good luck friend. :3

                    • OverlordZetta

In my experience, when someone says the sky is green, the oceans are filled with chocolate blood, and it’s raining cotton candy, as you essentially are here, people might find it hard to understand.

                    • ayb_91

That would be purfectly purfect. :3

                    • 罪罰

                      you’re really bad at this.

                    • Budgiecat

If you dont want this game and would rather just search for porn, thats fine, just get it for me and ManagedCorn and don’t whine…

            • DrPhantasma

Tekken is decent, but Street Fighter is probably, in my opinion regardless of its influence, one of the slowest and most boring of the fighting games. As I’ve said, breasts or not, it doesn’t effect DOA’s gameplay, enjoyability, and fun characters whatsoever. I don’t see why sexuality scares people, but it doesn’t damage the game at all and taking it out, changing the original designs of the characters from older days wouldn’t make any sense at all. For those so uncomfortable with breasts, just play as Marie Rose. The breasts may have helped the game’s sales in the past, but at this point and in this age of gaming, the breasts and sexuality hardly effect sales at all unless they’re the main focus like in the spinoff games.

              • ayb_91

You still missed the main point here. You can search the whole Internet for extremely real and better boobs, can’t you?

                • DrPhantasma

Yes, but the boobs aren’t the reason I get the games and they aren’t the selling point, I get the games because they have some of the best gameplay and characters in the fighting game scene, in my opinion. Most other fighting games just aren’t as much fun for me besides Smash Bros and P4A. If there’s more to a game than just boobs and those reasons are why I buy it, then you’re argument of “Boobs and only boobs” makes no sense and is just silly. It’s like if someone said they disliked Kingdom Hearts because “Disney and only Disney” (some claim that they use Disney as a selling point because Disney is loved by so many thus it panders to a bigger audience). It would make no sense as Kingdom Hearts has way more too it than just Disney and Disney isn’t the selling point. DOA has boobs in it, but unlike you’re earlier statement, they aren’t what the game’s based on.

        • James Reilly

I guess you learned that females have boobs bravo. You casually forget that more then half the cast are males too. Ah but who care about logic if “Boobs!” Is what is filled in your thought process.

    • Antonio C. R. Murray

Every fighting game has some sort of fan service stupid. For one, Dead or Alive was inspired by Fatal Fury in that department.

      • ayb_91

Ugh. Please, I don’t want to buy this game. Would you help me without that? :(

      • Budgiecat

EA UFC and Fight Night dont lol

        • Antonio C. R. Murray

No need to put Ronda Rousey down like that.

  • OverlordZetta

Before everyone jumps on the hate train, keep in mind DOA5 has yet to hit next gen. This isn’t coming to previous consoles, so it can’t really be compared to Capcom’s upgraded versions as it’s likely more akin to a remastered version for next gen instead, and neither of the devs in question are the only people doing that. Next gen needs games, do let them bring on the games.

To that end, here’s something we in the West typically don’t consider, but it’s pretty important when talking about these fighting game updates: when your primary version of the game is an arcade game, you need to regularly spice it up to draw in new and old players who will get drawn to new games. While the arcade gamers obviously don’t have to buy a new game, the upgrades the arcades get do get to a point that the only options they have for console players are either not give them the upgraded content or to release it as a new game, as these companies have come to do. Even when a fighting game isn’t specifically based on an arcade series, when the competition is, they’ll unfortunately have to follow the “procedure” those games have set in order to be able to compete seriously. Business is just another fighting game, in the end.

However, believe it or not, this is actually a good thing, if you think about it, because it means there’s that much competition out there that they need to keep doing this – if they could just leave their original model out there and still make a killing, it’d mean there were no other games. It would be that and that alone.

What’s more, no one is making you buy these games or any of the DLC, keep in mind. If you have one version and you’re happy with it, that’s all that should matter, I think.

    • ayb_91

Lol. Still. Boobs and only boobs.

      • OverlordZetta

That has nothing to do with what I was talking about.

        • ayb_91

LOOOL !! Sorry, but I would never read a whole article for a game that is ultimately based on boobs. I wonder if there is a combo that allows a female character to use her boobs in it. XD

          • OverlordZetta

Thank you for finally clearing up the issue of whether or not you’re trolling, it’s appreciated.

          • DrForbidden

‘Based on boobs’? You sound really bitter. Did you get your arse kicked online by a female character again and came here after rage-quitting? You did, didn’t you? Admit it.

    • James Reilly

If this port actually has a decent amount of new content (so far at least one new stage confirmed) and refinements (arcade UI, better online, better stage textures, etc) then the game would be worth getting. If it will be a minimal effort port that just upscales and call it a day then not worth getting if you don’t have PS4/Xbox One.

I don’t think it matters either way here, because it’s ONLY for PS4/Xbox One. The idea is that this is their version of the game. Look at how we’ve had games being sold simply for being remastered for those consoles. A new stage alone is already more than some other games have added for their jump to next gen.

        • James Reilly

Again if I owned this on 360/PS3 there would be minimal incentive to double (or triple/quad dip) this game simply because it’s on next gen. The community is pretty split on this since for a fighting game this is important then say The Last of Us remaster for next gen. I’m gonna wait for more details on this since all we got is a brief trailer before I celebrate/feel dissapointed.

          • OverlordZetta

Which is why they might add new content, but because it’s NOT on those other consoles, the idea might simply be to provide what already exists for them, plain and simple. Assuming everyone has those games/consoles isn’t the best logic for a business.

    • Budgiecat

If it dont come with DLC included, past paid DLC cross gen transfer system link via using your same account would be nice

    • DrForbidden

Well said. I have no appreciation for shenanigans, but at least this release is for XBone and PS4.

  • 強大なサム(Mighty Sam)

Good.the game had a great cast and intense gameplay.Ryu Hayabusa and Kasumi were my favorite because their combos were ace and easy to master.I absolutely recommend this game to die hard fighting fans who haven’t played it yet.but if you’re the whiny type who gives up on the last boss after a few times and starts calling them cheap, don’t get it.

  • bloodiOS

Perfect! I will be happily picking this up for the PS4.

  • shogunknight

Remaining KOF, Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, Blazblue, P4A to jump in

    • Budgiecat

SNK already confirmed to be working on a new KoF

    • PrinceHeir

They are already planning on the next Street Fighter.

Blazblue will no doubt come to PS4 since the story is almost done.

Persona 4 Arena might get a true sequel that will include Persona 5 characters and hopefully 1 and 2 as well.

Soul Calibur will probably come after Tekken 7. I don’t want Namco doing the same mistake by releasing two fighting games(SCV, TTT2) in the same year(2012) and drop support altogether(Free to play versions sucks compared to the main games)

I hope for the next KOF to be dream match and KOFXIII sprites or GG Xrd style, Samurai Spirits to be the same as well.

I know that SNK Playmore is working on the next King of Fighters. And it’s going to be another fully 3D entry, like the underrated Maximum Impact series (though I believe the last Max Impact we got in NA was just titled King of Fighters 2006). I’m looking forward to it.

      http://www.siliconera.com/2014/08/05/new-3d-king-fighters-game-development/

Don’t know if they’re doing another 2D entry at the moment though.

  • Articuno76

Fighting games still have a pretty thin presence on next-gen systems, Many other established and active fighting games haven’t at least been ported the new systems.

  • SuperLuigi

Graphics could be the same for all I care. If the netcode is worth a damn I will buy it again. I lost so many matches due to stupid lag.

  • PrinceHeir

    Woah!!

To be honest i was expecting Dead or Alive 6, but i don’t really mind them continuing Dead or Alive 5 since it’s still fresh and just came back after 7 years of absence(2005-2012).

Plus they could use this opportunity to get to know the hardware of PS4 and Xbox One to utilize it for Dead or Alive 6!!!

All i want is 1080p and 60FPS with extra jiggle physics and options!!!!! ALL DLCs(Come on Koei, i don’t think people are willing to buy all of the DLCs on the store), Balanced moves and keep the amazing training mode, more fleshed out story mode, more stages, ALL OSTs from Dead or Alive games(like in Ultimate) and more costumes!!!

Though why not just add a customization option like most 3D fighters have(Tekken, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter) and let us just buy the costume sets so we could mixed different sets in one character :P

  • sunK1D

1080p/60 and GREATLY increased texture resolution and all the DLC released so far and I’ll quadruple dip! Already have Vanilla, Ultimate and +.

  • PrinceHeir

    Also Last Round? :P

Should have been Ultimate Gold Edition, then again Capcom might sue!

    huehuehuehuehuehue

  • greenreaper

I’d appreciate a PC release too. I quit paying for PS+ so there’s no way I could play online on PS4 unless I started paying for that again.

    • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

They probably will, been seeing more Koei games on PC recently

      • PrinceHeir

        Think of the mods!!!

        • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

          Lol

        • http://hatintime.com/ ShadowFang

And second thought, maybe they won’t because… they’ll think of the mods. lol

Some of the comments in here.

    – Stop trolling or spamming the exact same thing over and over.
    – Play nice and be respectful.

    That’s all I’m asking. Thanks.

  • notcarolkaye

I think I’m going to hold out ’til 2016 for Ultra Dead or Alive 5: Last Round XD: Super Tournament. I’m betting that that’ll be the one that’s really worth buying $80 of DLC for.

  • Snub La

All they do is make the same two games. How is Tecmo still in business?

    • DrForbidden

Hey now, if SEGA can stay in business, so can KT…

      • Budgiecat

        because of SAMMY

    • http://hatintime.com/ ShadowFang

Well, because Ninja Gaiden and DOA are two very, very good games.

      Also, all those Warriors titles.

And those exclusives with/for Nintendo – Metroid, Pokemon Conquest, Zelda Warriors, Fatal Frame. The Big N’s footing the bill for their productions there.

Hmmm… now that sounds like a lot more than two now, don’t it? “Same two games” my butt ;)

  • Six

Definitely gonna grab this. I haven’t picked up DoA5 at all yet.

  • Peanut

    Next-Gen (Kinda) Sexiness Fighting GET!

  • tokyobassist

Cool. I hope Team Ninja appreciated that purchase of DOA5:U from me. It’s certainly the last they’ll get from me.

  • DrForbidden

Well, now we know why the boobs are big in the franchise. So they can keep milking it…

    • gulabjamal

      HAH!

  • http://hatintime.com/ ShadowFang

I don’t understand how people could have a problem with this particular cross-gen port. The game is still actively being worked on, lol. They keep adding new fighters regularly throughout the year, and add costumes constantly. Them putting a current game on current platforms make nothing but sense. Jeez louise. ( ^ – ^ )

Glad DOA is the first fighter getting on “next gen” first then. Hopefully the attention (not to mention QUALITY) will cause it to pick up a fair number of new fans… and if this is compatible with the PS3 version, new victims for me and my girl Ayane to thrash online

Once they got this up-and-running on PS4, I certainly hope that Dead or Alive 6 or Dead or Alive x Virtua Fighter won’t be too far behind though…
