Aksys adds Shuuhou Imai-directed adventure RPG.

Tokyo Twilight Ghosthunters

Aksys Games is bringing Mato Kurenai Yuugekitai: Tokyo Twilight Ghosthunters to PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in North America next year as simply Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters, the publisher announced at Anime Expo.

The game, developed by Toybox Games and published by Arc System Works in Japan, is a juvenile romance adventure RPG directed by Tokyo Majin Gakuen‘s Shuuhou Imai. It first launched in Japan on April 10.

Now, this is my type of VN.

  • Kami nii

They Just Keep On Coming!!! This is good news for Ps vita owners :D

  • Akari Akaza

Wow! who would expect this game coming to the west? amazing…..^-^

    • Renaldi Saputra

well, the game itself was published by Arc System Works in Japan, so it’s reasonable Aksys bring Arc System Works games

  • new_tradition

I’m semi interested. I was told you can have pair endings with both men and women and I like the character art (I think it’s the person who did the art of Togainu no Chi and Uta no Prince-sama?), so superficial targets have been met for me :P

    • DyLaN

Yup, the artist is Kurahana Chinatsu who also did the art/design for Lamento and Aquarion EVOL/Samumenco anime.

  • Impressionnant

  • Kayseur

Never saw that coming. I’ll probably pick it up.

  • Warboss Aohd

    Who Ya Gonna Call?

  • bloodiOS

Here’s hoping that the localized PS3 version’s cover will look similar to this and not replaced with the unfitting blue border…

    • new_tradition

Blue isn’t standard yet? Publishers can still choose black if they want? =D

      • Noel Rodriguez

No, It’s standard. We’ll get a blue cover.

  • Six

A romance RPG VN? I’ll be keeping an eye on this one.

  • Pyrofrost

    Day one on Vita!

  • Orichalon Hades

  • 罪罰

    Aww yeah this looks great.

  • Budgiecat

wow. Guess the PS3.Vita VN floodgates have been partially opened a bit

    tokyo twilight ghosthunters
    Danganronpa 1&2

too bad it wasn’t earlier so we coulda gotten

    White Album
    Megazone 23
    time travelers

    • novurdim

You skipped Zero Escape, the best one in the bunch.
But still, even if this localization spree happened earlier, I believe that the only title we could have gotten is TT.

      • antithesis

I believe it could have happen if piracy didn’t destroy the PSP in the west.

But then again, the fact that PSVita lacks big western developers resulting from the PSP’s failure, it’s the reason why the PSVita is being flooded with VN and JRPG.

        • novurdim

thank you, mister obvious, what I don’t get is why psp piracy destroyed (according to your words) chances of TT localization for VITA, when (according to your enlightening words again) it is the reason why VITA is flooded with all these awesome games.

I’ve still got blind hope that someone will take up the mantle for the Science Adventure series on consoles. Till then, Steins;Gate PC, it’s a beautiful, lovely thing!

      • Dave Kokandy

And JAST USA said this weekend at Anime Expo that they’re working on another Nitro+ title they can’t talk about yet. My fingers are crossed for another Science Adventure (PC release at least).

    • PrinceHeir

      Want Dunamus15 and the 5pb x Nitro+ ADV/VN games!!

  • Santashi

The price seemed to drop for this really quickly in Japan, but I’m not sure if this is a reflection on the game or on too many copies being produced. I am interested in it, though, personally!

  • MDH

I read up on this game a bit and it sounds very interesting! It appears to contain far more “real” gameplay than the average VN. Will keep an eye on this.

  • 武神水樹

    Nice art style

  • Nonscpo

I’m confused is this an RPG or a Visual Novel?

    • DyLaN

      A mix of both.

  • Xinen

Awesome news, I’ve been so tempted to get it on the JPN PSN for a while now but held off. Now it seems I’ll get this.
