Tecmo Koei officially renamed Koei Tecmo
Company hopes to expand brand under same name globally.
Tecmo Koei America and Tecmo Koei Europe officially changed its company names today to Koei Tecmo America and Koei Tecmo Europe.
“It is our belief that in this manner we can further expand the Koei Tecmo brand under a common name globally,” the company said in an e-mail.
In Japan, the company is already known as Koei Tecmo.
Koei Tecmo joins the recent influx of slight company name changes, with Marvelous AQL becoming Marvelous and Namco Bandai becoming Bandai Namco.
