Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment will launch for PS Vita via PlayStation Network in Europe on August 20, Bandai Namco announced.

A new set of screenshots show the wicked Laughing Coffin and new character PoH, as wel as Yui, Agil, and Klein. Here are some details:

Yui used to be used to be the players’ Mental Health Councelling Program, MHCP0001. She was rescued by Kirito and Asuna for some reason. She is attached to them ever since and calls them “Papa” and “Mama”

Agil is an indispensable reliable player to the Assault Team. He supports Kirito as a merchant to collaborate with the Assault guild. He recently opened a shop in “Arc Sofia” on the 76th Floor and supports Kirito and the Assault Team.

Klein is the skilled leader of the guild, “Furinkazan” and participates in the Assault Team. He is also an old friend of Kirito ever since the first log in to “SAO” and like his elder brother.

I’m still thinking about getting this game or not. Not a big fan of the show, but the game looks really great…

  • Renaldi Saputra

    ah, whereas, we want digimon

    • Anime10121

      I want both…

      • Renaldi Saputra

        both is better
but no digimon = no good

        • Ladius

Supporting the Vita jrpgs they’re localizing, like Tales of Hearts R and SAO, could convince them there is a market for such titles on Vita, starting with Digimon since its requests have already been acknowledged by Namco.

          • Renaldi Saputra

at first I still thought like that, but for now, I don’t think so. They really want those 50k numbers it seems

            • Daniel Rossevelt

That post was deleted, that could be potentially a good thing, and maybe Bandai Namco saw it and though those numbers were too high, although it could be a bad thing too.

          • Elvick

Supporting One Piece: Unlimited World Red (on Vita) couldn’t hurt either.

  • Thatguy

    August 20? Nice.

  • Ping92

There were so many translation errors in the asian english version, i hope they do not simply bring the same version over

If they were going to, then it wouldn’t make sense for them to delay the release by so many months…

    • Ladius

A Namco PR on NeoGaf already confirmed the western build will have a different translation, even if I’m not sure he meant a better edited script or a completely different localization.

    • Land of Green Pasture

and iirc I heard there will be patch that fix grammatical and spelling error

    • MrKappa

I’m pretty sure for these Asian version of games that have English they just throw the script into Google translate or some other JP>EN engine and go with it.

I am going to guess it releases in Europe before NA.

I hoped to see it released in late July, late August is a bit unfortunate considering Xillia 2 is coming out in the same timeframe. Then again, I will buy it day one to support a bold localization from Namco and to foster more niche localizations from them, even if I will probably get to play it some weeks after its release.

    Wow that’s definitely not July

Was hoping to play it this month

    • Yuki

Ikr. Was also hoping to play it this month, since they talked about a release with the update. I wonder when the US version will come out. Hopefully not later, since I was prepared to buy it from the US store.

    • NeoTechni

      Import the chinese one
      English subs, Japanese dub

  • miyamoto

    Yeah Baby!!!

  • Zukato

    Yes, it’s happening!

  • Akari Akaza

  • Daniel Rossevelt

So, umm what about a US release date? Dear Bandai Namco US you suck :p

    • Luis Eduardo Arango Hernández

  • DriftSlave
