In the ruins and above the clouds.

Tales of Zestiria producer Hideo Baba has posted two new off-screen images of the upcoming PlayStation 3 game on Twitter, showing the game’s mini-map for the first time.

The first image shows Sorey and Mikleo exploring together in the historic ruins.

And the second sees Sorey standing above a sea of clouds. It’s probably dangerous for him to be standing there.

Expect our next update on July 30.

The positioning is really weird. : Why is it so far out?

    • Zackasaur

I was thinking the same thing. lol

    • KingNigma

To make room for showing the party members perhaps.

  • Anime10121

Glad that you get to choose NOT to wear his white…”cape/Piccolo thing”! He looks MUCH better without it!

    • KingNigma

      Lol piccolo thing

  • fyi1191

I don’t see his silly earrings. Automatically best costume so far.

  • Comandante Bushido

    Needs moar bewbs

  • Raziel Kõbe

The cenary is more interactive. Probably he can jump, swim.. maybe. I glad we can see the partners in field too

I don’t want this stupid mini map.
It’s spoil all level design on an JRPG…

  • Bobby Jennings

    Cant wait for this!

  • Nitraion

So slay still thinking whether his white cape is suck or not? XD

    • Budgiecat

that blue jacket should be his default outfit.
the white one is just horrible…

I don’t know why, but Slay looks a lot better like that. Looking forward to more Zestiria.

  • PhoenixAutomatic~♪(๑ᴖ◡ᴖ๑)♪~

    Don’t tease dammit! I’ll just crave moar………..

Looking good. I wonder why there are so many scenes with Slay without his tunic? I thought they were from early in the game, but some have Alicia there too.

    • Ladius

I think you can remove his cape freely during the game.

      • KOKAYI5

Kinda sweet. This game doesn’t seem like the type to do a lot of DLC costumes for some reason. It reminds me of the old Tales games, like Destiny and Eternia. Maybe that’s their aim. To give you options of what to do with their clothes they have instead of just switching to other character’s clothes from other games.

  • Spectacularity

Lol I can’t wait to see alternate costumes for him, I hate his design. :

  • Izzeltrioum

Looking good. I’m eager to know more and more the combat system and terrain gimmicks as well. ..

So it’s Sorey not Slay. And Zaveid not Zabida. And Mikleo.
    I hope it’s said SO-ray or Sa-ray or So-rai.
This game is gonna be the centerpiece of my recent RPG as long as it comes out before mid-2015.
More info said to be on July 30th.
The only question I still have now is who are the main group of villains and who is the best healer? Mikleo? Or is it the first time a Earth o Fire magic user is the main healer?

This game looks awful, the Tales of quality has fallen a lot since Graces.

    • Ladius

I think these off-screen images don’t really do justice to the game, there are plenty of screenshots that show a different picture. Zestiria looks like an improvement over Xillia despite sharing the same engine, and Xillia was better than Graces in terms of modeling and animations despite introducing a free camera. Zestiria’s fields look bigger and more detailed than Xillia’s, too.
