French-Bread…Have any of their games been localized before?

    • Renaldi Saputra

this game was published by Arc System Works, so I think it’s reasonable to see games getting localized by Aksys

      • heavymetalmixer

Even though ASW and Aksys don’t get along so well lately :v

        • Renaldi Saputra

ASW and Aksys is just like NIS and NISA/NISE

    french bread…i love your games….finally…i can enjoy them Q ~ Q

  • http://insanechronos.tumblr.com/ InsaneChronos

Cool, but… Where is my Melty Blood HD, French Bread?

    • James Reilly

FB been busy with this and Dengeki Bunko for awhile.

      • Mario.P

In an interview with French Bread they said they would love to do Melty Blood HD but it’s all up to Type-Moon’s decision if they want to go through with it. Type Moon did say that they’re consider it after a Tsukihime remake.

  • Aiddon

Very interesting; Melty Blood is one of my favorite fighting games so I’ve been interested in this since it was first unveiled.

  • Northstar

Perhaps a door to Melty Blood coming overseas :)

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Sure, as soon as a new one is made :)

  • Quetzalcoatl9999

    Awesome, keep coming those localizations.

  • Chestnut Bowl

    …Oh. Okay.

  • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

    This is incredibly awkward, lol.

Well, enjoy pocketing that $10, Aksys.

  • tokyobassist

Was about to cancel my preorder then I saw 2015.

Fuck that noise. Even for a niche game that is too much of a gap between the Japanese release the localization. Fighting games are definitely buy it Day 1 or not at all type of games.

    • James Reilly

Yes let that niche anime fighter game compete with other more well known anime fighter games being released in fall like GG Xrd and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax that plan won’t backfire at all.

      • dark-kyon

dont forget arcana heart 3 love max!!!.

      • icup ✔️

except this game is releasing this month… the others will come out sept and after.

      • tokyobassist

As if releasing this game after those heavy hitters is going to help sales by staggering the release.

Missed the point of what I’m said to begin with. Look at Chrono Phantasma. That game was out in Japan for months before coming here and people (as expected) imported the game and just bodied those that waited for the localization. My point is late releases for fighting games stagger communities because the skill level bar is already set far too high for newcomers to ease in. This isn’t Street Fighter either. Niche fighters like this die really quick because people have a hard time understanding the game because you can only learn so much by getting your ass handed to them.

  • PrinceHeir

Damn what a fitting title for the game considering it’s release XD

    • Solomon_Kano

      Couldn’t be more perfect lol

  • Solomon_Kano

    Uh… alright. Cool.

  • Anime10121

YES YES YES YES YES!!! Always thought this games art looked great!

  • http://Gematsu.com Vayne

Do not know how Aksys and NIS America has arranged funds to locate these games.

    • Renaldi Saputra

for this one, the publisher in Japan is Arc System Works
it’s been very reasonable for Aksys localizing Arc System Works games

  • Comandante Bushido

  • Guy Incognito

    Digital only or retail?

  • new_tradition

Wait, is this a pure fighter, or is it like BlazBlue and has a visual novel segment too?

    • James Reilly

It has a story mode aspect (not as in-depth as BB though) and yes it’s a 2d anime fighter, but very different then blazblue.

      • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

        I think you mean 2D :p

    • zeroroute

I haven’t watched much footage of this, but I’m guessing arcade mode is like melty blood’s where some fights are predetermined based on the character you’re playing as, with dialogue before and after the match (just like in Blazblue’s arcade mode).

Canceled my preorder at play asia, I can wait for a North America release. Save more money too.

    • Sion Cruz

Ah, it’s my buddy! I’m gonna show arc system and aksys some love and keep my pre order, pass that one to my friend and buy the domestic edition once it releases. Hit me up on psn: ThirdStageiD

I didn’t know I was a buddy of someone :v. But yeah, request sent.

  • Rafael Martines

The “Late” in the title, now makes sense LoL

    • http://gematsu.com/ Sal Romano

The “Exe,” pronounced “Ex,” of course, is for Extra.

      • Rafael Martines

The localization will be “Extra Late”

  • TheBlackRabbit

    My body is ready.
