Dragon Quest X Online coming to 3DS in Japan
Get the full MMORPG experience running on cloud technology.Dragon Quest X Online is coming to 3DS in Japan on September 4 for 3,800 yen, Square Enix announced.
Like the smartphone version of the game, the 3DS version of the MMORPG uses cloud functionality to run the game, so rather than running native on the handheld, it is running on a server (think PlayStation Now) to deliver an experience on par with the Wii U and PC versions.
The 3DS version will come with a download code for the application, a 60-day free trial code, the in-game “Lemon Slime Board Prism” vehicle (pictured below), five “Great EXP Archives” that give you 1,000 experience points each upon use, a “Casino Coin Ticket,” a poster, and a lottery card.
Fees are still intact. For three days of play, it’s 350 yen. For 10 days, 650 yen. Or you can go monthly for 1,500 yen. But of course, you won’t have to worry about that until your 60 free days are up.
