Atlus promises new title announcement soon, more brand new titles in the future
Developer also wants to expand non-Persona IP across mediums.Famitsu this week features a new interview with Atlus representative director Yukio Sugino and company director Naoto Hiraoka.
In it, the pair comment on the developer’s upcoming, unannounced titles.
Outside of the Persona series (likely referring to the Etrian Odyssey series given a recent teaser), Hiraoka says, “I think we’ll be able to announce that title very soon.”
Additionally, Hiraoka says that the studio has “began development on a title that is three years away.” Further, he added, “We’re preparing brand new titles like Dragon’s Crown and Catherine at the same time.”
The executives also touched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. “As consumer game makers, [the new consoles] are not something we can afford to avoid. Naturally, we’re focusing our attention on them.”
Finally, the pair said that the Persona series has gained even more fans due to its presence across not only game, but anime, stage, and movie formats. So from now on, Atlus wants to branch out its other IP across different mediums, as well.
One more thing: There’s brief mention of Persona 5. It’s just said that development is progressing and they’re enthusiastic about it.
Thanks, Games Talk and Sokuho@Hokanko.
