In come the Diamond Dogs.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The Japanese version of the E3 2014 trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain went live on YouTube a little earlier than expected. Konami quickly realized its error and locked up access, but not before it was downloaded several times over.

The open-world sequel is set arrive sometime in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.

Watch the Japanese trailer below. A backup is available at We’ll follow up with the English version when it goes live later today.

OH MY GOD. I’m breathless…the scene where he smears the ashes of his dead friends in his face. Such powerful imagery. Very metaphorical. IM SO HYPED.
