See how a Princess disposes of enemy hordes.

Hyrule Warriors

Today’s Hyrule Warriors gameplay trailer introduces Princess Zelda, wielding a small sword in battle.

Throughout the week, we have also seen trailers for Link, his Fire Rod, and most recently, for Impa.

Watch Zelda’s clip below. Hyrule Warriors is due out for Wii U on September 26 in North America and September 19 in Europe.

Sold. (though I don’t like her makeup)

Now Nintendo, give Zelda her own game.

    • JuhRo

Would it be called “Link”? ;D

      • Kattaro

        The Legend of Link

    • Ben Kennedy

      Super Princess Zelda.

    • Paul Rodriguez

I want Sheikah (Sheik) running around kicking all kinds of butt

    Hottish elf

  • Kobracon

You are doing a good job in filling that breastplate, gurl. Keep it up!

So the characters don’t speak at all? In this and the Impa trailer I noticed that the most they do are battle grunts. Which is fine by me if that’s how they’re doing it, since it means they don’t even have to rerecord any voices for the international version.

    • Tetsu

Zelda characters have never been represented with more than grunts and single word outbursts “Oh!” , “Hey, listen!” , etc.
If they changed it for this version, I’m sure people would be upset.

I know, but they’ve already broken several of those Zelda mainstays just by making this game. We always need confirmation that something is staying true to source.

      • LordKaiser

That’s because westerners like us never experienced the Satellaview.

  • Six

Game looks better every time I see it. I can’t wait for a dedicated Midna trailer.

I only have one question – why did the players save Zeldas over years, if this Zelda is so awesome? Does she have a bad sense of direction, so she just waits for Link to walk her home?

    • KingNigma

Stereotypes yo. That or she had some of that…

    • Paul Rodriguez

This is Omega Force/Team Ninja’s Hyrule Warriors. Only natural they have a female that kicks butt.

Metroid Other M would like to have a word with you.

        • Zackasaur

She technically kicked ass as well.

The less die-hard fans were just confused when they learned that she had a personality. Read the manga~

          • http://www.gameanyone.com/DukeVerde DukeVerde

            Huh? There’s a manga? O_o

        • Budgiecat

          Bad example

  • Paul Rodriguez

The game is looking fantastic. It’s going to be hard picking a fave.

With the stink people are making about the lack of female characters in games Nintendo is making great strides. Now let’s see if this translates into sales or if people are just playing follow the leader and joining in the faux rage game (my bet is it’s the latter but we will see).

    • KingNigma

And here I thought females were just getting the spotlight they deserve…

    • Elvick

If this sells, then it’s going to because it’s a Legend of Zelda related game. Not because it has female characters to play. DW has plenty of those, yet no one associates it’s solid fanbase with it’s playable females. Since that’s kind of silly.

    • Budgiecat

There’s plenty more females in Fire Emblem which I think would have been the better vehicle for this. But Nintendo obviously wanted to go with the better known brand name

Always great to see Zelda in action! Haven’t seen her do stuff since Spirit Tracks… man, I wish she had ghost possession-based abilities in this (or Smash, for that matter).

  • PrinceHeir

    Zelda is awesome!!

Now to wait for the Ganondorf reveal and trailer.
