    Cool

  • ayb_91

I wonder if they are going to announce the release date or not. FFXV’s curse happens once more? I wonder…

    • MrFinalgamer

Translation is already done, not to mention, this game is being made in next gen consoles so people can wait more for FFXV. Expect a 2015 release IMO (and maybe a Vita release BELIEVE~)

      • ayb_91

See? That’s the ultimate problem with SE. Everything is almost done and they just need to announce the release date for such almost completed games.

I would think they would port it on Vita though. Vita didn’t do well in the west. Personally, I would love to play it on Vita. But, why would I make things up and then I get disappointed by their royal highness?

    • IS | 桂木

Voice acting hasn’t even started in FFXV (in English). That should be an indicator on how far along XV’s development is

      • ayb_91

I’m neither surprised nor shocked. -___-

      • MrFinalgamer

Wasn’t there a report months ago about that one guy that was casted for FFXV, and many speculated that he would voice Prompto?

        • IS | 桂木

One of the SE dudes came out and said they haven’t started dubbing after those rumors and resumes started floating around

  • DesmaX

Matthew Mercer is Trey Voice Actor, kupo!

  • tubers

My heart still aches.. or my anus.. from yesterday’s VITA version retraction.

    Oh well.

  • Hidayat246

can’t wait to hear matthew become trey since he really good voiced leon

  • DarthBrian

Please include Japanese VA, please include Japanese VA, please include Japanese VA…

    • IS | 桂木

      ….As DLC :)

      • Gammer21

Why do you guys like the Japanese va’s so much? Not trying to be a jerk just curious btw. I mean when I play a game I want to be able to understand what the people are saying, that again just being me.

        • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

          It fits the game better

        • Luna Kazemaru

because apparently JP VA’s are never bad

          • http://www.psvitadirect.com/ Kurisu Makise

Your comment is snarky as hell but that really is a sentment people have. It’s….amazing in a scary way. @gammer21:disqus I share our feelings all the way. Not only do I Want to understand but I want to have a similar feeling that the Japanese audience had. I don’t believe that’s achieved by having japanese voices though but rather through providing the feel/context. Little things like battle cries, taunts, and classic quips…you need to be able to understand them to get the experience.

            • Luna Kazemaru

oh it was meant to be a snarky statement but not to the person in question more options are fine to some but when you get what happen to say the latest tales games out you see some people showing their true colors.

              • AdamBoy64

Just wondering, what do you mean by their ‘true colors’ – do you mean finding out people who are against english dubs?

                • MrFinalgamer

Maybe people who are like “No JP voices=no buy”?

                  • Luna Kazemaru

That an people who normally say but my options do a total one 180 and basically be glad its cut out.

                    • AdamBoy64

Like, they’d be glad that there’s no English dub?

                    • Luna Kazemaru

hah like that one is always amusing

          • desponent

Nah, the ratio of bad and good is just way higher than english dub. There ARE some good english dub out there but when paired with certain genre from Japan it still fail miserably.

            • AdamBoy64

Obviously, you’re different – but I couldn’t tell the difference between a good and a bad japanese dub.

If I knew the language I’m sure I would.

              • desponent

They have their own school for VA there and the industry is pretty unforgiving with new VA which fail got quickly thrown aside.

        • AdamBoy64

I feel similarly. However, it’s never a bad thing to have more options.

Just hopefully not having one at the expense of the other – any game without an English dub, I’ll pass on.

        • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

          >I want to be able to understand what the people are saying

          You can’t read subtitles?

          • MrFinalgamer

Meh, I always play games with english voices. I just feel that, after the VAs put effort into their performance, people choose to not listen to them. Weird, I know, but that’s how I feel on the subject =P

            • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

I could just as easily say the same. Why don’t you put forth the effort to listen to the Japanese VAs? :p

Anyway, I’ve been importing for 10+ years, so I’d just prefer Japanese voices at this point, lol. Plus, it helps me keep my Japanese in check when I have to read the subtitles when listening to them.

              • MrFinalgamer

Well, with the Japanese voices, well the JP players already heard their talent, someone needs to give NA VAs some love too! <3

I get what you're saying though. While trying to learn French, I try to hear more things in French, although I'm too lazy to look for French dubs/things. XP

                • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

I just tend to prefer things in their original format. I’m the same way towards movies. I always butt heads with one of my friends about it and the argument basically ends the same way every time with me saying, “You wouldn’t watch Terminator in German, so how is this any different?”, lol.

I basically listen to English voices when playing Western developed games.

          • Luna Kazemaru

Some people don’t want to read whats being said in a cut scene of all things?

            • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Yeah, because that takes so much effort, right? I hear the same thing coming from guys that are against subtitled anime, lol. “I can’t read that and watch what’s happening at the same time T_T”

              Kind of silly, really.

              • Rebellion14

No idea what effort has to do with it….
I understand Japanese and I still like hearing things in English.
                It’s a preference…nothing to do with effort.

                • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

I get that, but there are quite a few people that simply turn away subtitles because it’s too difficult for them to read while paying attention to what’s going on. Hell, even with games in English, I turn the subtitles on since the voices can sometimes get muffled by the sound effects and BGM.

        • DarthBrian

I want to hear the original voice track for everything I play and watch (when offered). That includes film too obviously. I wanted to watch Kurosawa films in Japanese, I want to watch Run Lola Run in German, etc. re: games – I play The Witcher in it’s original Polish and Metro in it’s original Ukrainian as well.

          EDIT: With subtitles obviously.

          • Thatguy

Witcher in Polish was amazing. Best voicetrack ever.

        • PrinceHeir

          Lots of things.

Creator’s intentions are intact. You would especially notice this if your learning how Japanese sentence structure works and how sometimes the translations sucks or is taken out of context. At least if you heard the voice and know some Japanese words you can understand what they’re trying to accomplish.

Not to mention voice acting in Japan. the seiyu’s voices together in one room while dubs are done separately in small booths. So pretty much you talking to no one but yourself. At least with a group they can offer feedback on how to say this words or what’s the best way to say it during conversations.

Spin offs. Some games have spin-offs or any anime adaptation. You can pretty much guarantee you’ll hear the same iconic voice actors you first heard in whatever media they first appear. While dubs get’s replace pretty often. Be it Anime, Manga, pachinko game, web game etc.

It doesn’t happen all the time(JoJo Part 3 anime for example), but it definitely has at least 90% chance of happening.

The fact that you still have the same voice actors of Amuro and Char from the very original 1979 Gundam anime is a testament of this.

Some genre’s they can’t replicate too much. It’s either they don’t have enough exposure to it and don’t have enough experience .Do you honestly what to hear how English voice actors fair well in genres like Yuri, Yaoi, Moe. Idol, Mahou Shoujo and others??

I’m sure they think it’s weird they do stuff like this even this this just one of the many fandom things Japanese likes.

Not to mention if the anime/manga/game setting is Japan itself. I’m sure they are more knowledgeable than anyone outside of Japan.

I’m sure i’ve missed a couple of few. If people think some only prefer Japanese because the way they sound then no just no.

I don’t mind English voices. But once you keep hearing Japanese and learning how they say words for a long time, you’ll get used to them. Especially if your trying to learn the language(like what i’m doing right now).

        • Zancrow

Most of the time the original VAs are just better.
Not always, but most often than not.

        • Vyse_the_Stampede

(I apologize for the wall of text, that is not directly related to the article… feel free to delete it if my ramblings somewhat taste like spam ;) )

Personally? Because Japanese VAs make my ears believe, like they are, most of the times, able to better convey feelings through their voices, and personificate the characters they are playing, like if it was the actual character speaking (of course there are also very badly done ones… I’m looking at you Chaos Wars… although it seems the English dub was, arguably, even worse). For some reason, almost every time I hear an English dub, I just feel like I’m listening to a person, alone inside a studio, reading a piece of paper and looking at a wall.

Although I can understand the preference some people have towards English (even if it’s not your native language), it’s a language that most of us are used to listen to, we won’t find it “weird” and the sounds associated to it won’t feel like they are “annoying” or extremely “high pitched/low pitched”. I won’t lie, I also felt a bit like that years ago, when I started listening to the Japanese language, and again when I started getting interested in Japanese songs… I’m guessing, from my experience, that we humans usually tend to repel whatever we find strange, and keep ourselves inside our safe zones (if this works well like this, there’s no reason to look elsewhere… especially considering the effort I have to make to understand the appealing of something)… well, it’s also a way of living, and as long as you respect how others live their lives, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it (… that’s why I tend to play for the “dual-audio” team instead of the “give me Japanese audio instead of English” team… but like with everything life sends our way, sometimes we just have to suck it up XD).

(OBS: I’m saying that, but with regards to food for instance, I’m also a “safe zone” kind of guy… I love spaghetti… I’m able to eat the damn thing everyday XD… maybe I would find something I like more than it if I started asking for something else on different restaurants… but why take the risk, and waste a lot of money and time tasting worse food to just, maybe, find something I’ll enjoy at least as much? I’ll just stick with my pasta XD… to me, that’s not the most “preferable” course of action… but I still keep doing it ; . ; ).

I can also understand many people have problems with following subtitles while paying attention to what is happening on the screen at the same time (I’m guessing that most are native English speaker that grew up practically only watching/playing movies/games dubbed in English), but for me, who grew up watching everything subtitled, it’s not exactly an effort, it’s exactly what I’m used to (other than purely child-focused media, everything here is subbed… which also means that the dubs in my country, apart from some rare examples, are borderline disastrous XD)… you could also say I’m more used to subtitles than to the English language itself since, when I started “reading” them, I practically didn’t know a thing about the English language… and this is just my opinion, but if I had watched everything dubbed in my language, I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be able to have this conversation right now :).

It’s true, I most likely, won’t learn the Japanese language (which I’m interested on) by listening to it (other than a few expressions), since it’s such a different language (especially the written side of it XD), and considering I no longer have the enormous learning capabilities of a small kid XD… but I have no doubt, that little as it might be, it will be more than if I watched an English dub… I’ll leave that for when I’m watching an American/British series or a movie :).

I guess that’s mostly why I prefer Japanese VAs (… although I digressed considerably there… sorry :( ), PrinceHeir post has also covered other points I agree with (especially the way translations are sometimes too liberal, and out of context, and you won’t notice unless you hear the original voices… but I guess you have to understand a little bit of Japanese to catch those XD).

Hopefully I was able to convey my thoughts in a somewhat understandable way :). Let’s hope for a future filled with dual-audio media I guess XD.

(This is just my opinion, I mean no offense to anyone’s feelings or tastes :)… and before you call my attention to it… no, I do not believe in paragraphs, and yes, I use too many ellipsis :P ).

          • Gammer21

    • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

Will be great if they do

    • PrinceHeir

      Hopefully it is!!

Even if it’s DLC like what Lightning Returns FFXIII and Drag-on Dragoon 3(still waiting for the Prologue JPN voices) did :D

      • NegativeZero

At least you don’t live in Europe. The JP voice DLC for Drakengard 3 still doesn’t work at all for us, or at least it didn’t when I checked a couple of days ago.

        • PrinceHeir

          Man that sucks :

I do hope it get’s fixed though!

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

Orion Acaba as Nine?! Haha. I can’t wait to hear that.

  • Karysonson

“I remember my last day recording for Nine close to two years ago, and as I drove home I welled up with tears of pure elation and joy.”

    …….Excuse me SE?

    • MrFinalgamer

Didn’t you know? The translation work was already done, but they decided not to do it due to the poor state the PSP in the Americas. I thought people already knew…

      • Karysonson

I know but still…Jeez they took too long

    • Aiddon

2 YEARS AGO??????? Holy CRAP that’s obscene. If they had put all that work into the voice acting…WOW.

    • bloodiOS

Localization for the PSP version was 90% complete… only to be scrapped at the last minute. This just reminded me of how salty I used to be upon hearing the news…

  • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

The music in this game is one of my favorites

    • MrFinalgamer

Takeharu Ishimoto has to be the best composer working at Square right now. Loved the TWEWY, and Crisis Core soundtracks. Type-0’s is just brilliant!

      • http://youtube.com/miyabigaming 武神水樹

        Agree :D

  • Franggio Hogland

These VAs are actually good people.

  • http://www.psvitadirect.com/ Kurisu Makise

They really scrapped that localization…holy cow. That’s…no words.

    • Luna Kazemaru

You didn’t know that? I thought that was known for awhile?

  • Luna Kazemaru

    Some good picks

    • Aunna Terrell

Orion said he finished recording Nine’s lines for Type-0 two years ago, lol.

      • Luna Kazemaru

Yeah but still doesn’t changed the fact they picked some good actors

        • Aunna Terrell

I know~ I can’t wait till more actors tweet their roles!

  • Chestnut Bowl

Looking forward to playing this on a big screen. I’m just hoping this isn’t a mere up-scaling.

    Still. I’m pretty excited.

    • Hikari Langley

KH BBS looked pretty awesome, so I have high hopes for this game to look beautiful~

      70 %?

      • Zuhri69

        I’ll take it.

  • http://mark115.tumblr.com King of Nowhere

Glad to know that things are happening for this game. And americans being casted to voice the game maybe means that the development of the game is going well or almost done. After all voicing a game is one of the last things to happen, right?

I wonder which team is developing the game…

I hope a world wide release on 2015’s september.

    • MrFinalgamer

Game is already translated, and voiced mate. And I EXTREMELY doubt they’ll do a world wide release. We’ll probably see a release in TGS.

  • The Moeshit

Type-0 HD in 2015 and then FFXV in 2016, then?

    • Martian Wong

I am hoping that they both will be released in 2015.

      • Samsara09

release Type 0 in the beginning of their fiscal year, like in spring…and then by winter, release XV.

  • BlueCereal

Probably won’t take too long if they are already announcing voice actors. Think there were some reports about the English dub already being done or almost complete for the PSP version.

    • Zackasaur

      Hopefully we get it soon!

  • Akari Akaza

This better come this year. Kingdom Hearts 3 and FFXV is going to take soo long…..>_<

    • Wolf Star

Which game will come out first FF type-0 HD or FFXV?? Gamescom or TGS? Who knows xD

      • Samsara09

        Type 0 I would wager.

  • Wolf Star

Already??? That means recording for FF Type -0 HD should start soon :3 yaay finally!!

    • MrFinalgamer

It already started actually…2 years ago. Unless they re-record their dialogue, the voice acting is already done.

      • Samsara09

that would only happen if they added more content,or voiced unvoiced parts.

    • $1392518

Awhile back some people were disappointed that Type-0 wasn’t coming out since they aready finished their voice work for it. So most of it should have been done years ago.

There were also reports saying that the localization effort was completed, before SE got cold feet on releasing a PSP in a dying market.

So I think the wait is mostly for the actual Software than the localization.

  • new_tradition

Wait, I thought Troy Baker was Alvin in Xillia..?

But nonetheless, some great talents. Hope they reveal the full cast soon. Would love to hear me some Johnny Young Bosch, Liam O’Brian, Ali Hillis and more once again in Final Fantasy ^^

    • IS | 桂木

Mercer and Baker sound extremely similar. Doesn’t help that they know each other, are aware of the fact, and have worked in several projects together :V

      • new_tradition

So it really is Mercer in Xillia? Damn, I phail ._.

      • Samsara09

        lol.

    • KingNigma

Troy Baker was Yuri from Vesperia I’m pretty sure.

    • NegativeZero

Nope, Troy Baker was Yuri in Tales of Vesperia.

    • https://www.behance.net/cobaltcomet KOKAYI5

You’re not alone. I thought it was Troy too.

  • Bob Slim

Thank god this game got english dub cuz if it didnt no buy for me, And I really like this game too. But it would have been half ass to not have it dub after all this time

  • Invisbin

    Nice!

  • bloodiOS

If only that model is also in-game model…

    • Zackasaur

      Maybe it IS, now. :o

We’ll have to wait for some footage.

      • bloodiOS

We can only hope/wish for the best…

      • Budgiecat

Depends. Is it being worked on in house? Or are they sending it out to a Chinese sweatshop again?

  • pixxxelz

I hate the fact that I spoiled this game ending because I thought it was never gonna make to the west :(

    • Wolf Star

Really?? That sucks man :/ to be honest I have forgotten about the game and just focused on FF Versus 13 the whole entire 8 years. I looked only at the trailers for type-0 it looks amazing but since HD is coming out I’ll buy it day 1! :)

      • pixxxelz

Yeah unfortunately :/ I’m still getting it though but it won’t be the same >_<

    • https://www.behance.net/cobaltcomet KOKAYI5

That’s tough man. But it’ll be ok. Just buy the game, wait a while before playing it. That’s what I do. Once I start forget a game, I replay it to refresh myself and live the iconic moments.

    • Samsara09

So did I,for almost all my rpgs.I still enjoyed them very much, specially because I never got the details.

  • 罪罰

    What!? English voices!? Disgusting!
    My entitlement demands Japanese voices.

    • tokyobassist

As a Japanese dude, I beg you to stop your creepy worship of Japanese culture. You should embrace all languages.

      • Anime10121

Corn was imitating a certain comment archetype…i.e not serious :/

        • tokyobassist

          Thank god.

          • https://www.behance.net/cobaltcomet KOKAYI5

Yeah in Siliconera there’s a lot of sub-purist there mocking people who happen to like dubbs. They say it’s cuz usually it’s vice-versa.

I’m chill, don’t worry. I don’t go bonkers for Japan though I do prefer their entertainment.

      • Vyse_the_Stampede

Although I completely agree with accepting all cultures and embracing all languages (… I’m not too sure about “embracing” all cultures though… I have a wide array of tastes, but I still have my own preferences… and to me, there are very “questionable” behaviors out there in the World), but sometimes when I hear the Chinese or Nordic languages, it makes me feel like I’m not able to really embrace them :(… I don’t know, I don’t think I’m evolved enough (yet) to just take such gravely contrasted sounds through my ears, and get out of it undamaged XD. (of course there are many other languages that are completely and utterly different from my own, but I had the contact with those the most, so… ; . ;).

      • Willgaea

That made me laugh pretty hard.

      • Yaro

By wanting the option of choosing between english and japanese voices I am embracing all languages. Would you not agree?

Would you also not agree that only having english or only having japanese voice track is the opposite of embracing all languages?

      • Nate

As I get older I get less and less drawn by Japanese culture.

      • Budgiecat

        sarcasm

Man, now I’m psyched for Type-0 HD. Gotta start saving up for PS4.

        • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Well, bear in mind, it has been nearly 3 years since I played it (the game is going on 3 years old in a few months), so my memory of specific details is a little lacking, but… I do remember enjoying it, so that’s something. I guess by the time this actually comes out, I will need a refresher course, so I won’t mind playing through it again, heh.

      • https://www.behance.net/cobaltcomet KOKAYI5

        Sold.

    • 罪罰

      It is badass.

  • https://twitter.com/RyoonZ RyoonZ

$100 says Troy Baker will be in this.

    • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Or Johnny Yong Bosch, right? :p

      • The Moeshit

Is Bosch still around? All I’m hearing are Baker and North these days.

        • https://www.youtube.com/user/GamingHeroTetsuya TetsuyaHikari

Well yeah. He had a role in Killer is Dead and that released last year. Plus, he’s voicing Mike Jones in Smash.

  • Warboss Aohd

    needs Steve Blum

    • Protosin

      Definitely.

      • Tetsu

        Most Definitely

  • GODDUKEMONEXA

    Alli Hillis for SEVEN!!!!

    • 大王 アレクサンダー

Honestly she would be the perfect choice since Seven is like Lightnings twin sister :3

  • Yaro

Oh gods have mercy and provide dual audio…

    • TheBlackRabbit

??? do the actors not please you?

      • Yaro

No not really, but thats not the point. If Ateliers, Disgaea and friggin neptune can have dual audio why not Final Fantasy? There is no excuse, especially when square gave dual audio to drakengard 3 and lightning returns, which I applaud them for.

If they really arent planning on a vita version then AT LEAST release dual audio for it. JRPGs with dual audio should standard thing in 2014 IMO.

        • 罪罰

because those are shittily dubbed :0

  • Tyrannikos

Vita version requested. A lot. Please.

    • TheBlackRabbit

      give it up….

      • Tyrannikos

Why? There’s a lot of time to fight for it. We never gave up when people were telling us it wouldn’t leave Japan.

        • TheBlackRabbit

          it’s…less painful that way Q~Q

          • Tyrannikos

I can handle it. Worse comes to worse, I’ll import Type-0 on PSP and use the fan translation. For now, I’m willing to make an attempt at getting the HD version on Vita.

            • Samsara09

you can’t have everything. There are many games I wished were made,or put in different consoles but,no.

              • Tyrannikos

I don’t know what is with people and the “you can’t get everything you want!” argument. Like, I understand that. I’m not some narcissistic psychopath who expects everything he wants to happen.

I’m just not one to roll over and accept something I dislike. If there’s a chance the game can come to Vita, I’ll fight for it. Sorry for being passionate though.

Is it really such an offense to you to have the game on PS4, XBO AND Vita?
No? Then let me do what I can.
Yes? You have bigger issues to worry about.

                • Samsara09

You can be passionate all you want,i admire it,but you can’t hike a mountain without method, without planning.Feelings and desires alone won’t get you anywhere,I am afraid.

The thing is,people done everything they could. They insistently bugged SE for 2 years and the game didn’t come for vita.If you insist too much on this, and you fail, those feelings will just corrode you.It will sting you forever if you can’t come to terms with it.

Maybe it will come,if it is just a copy paste…they may do it like X/X-2,cross play, but I doubt it.They aren’t dumb. They probably considered it.But,If they didn’t announce it for vita at that time, that means they probably won’t do it.

                  • Tyrannikos

What the hell are you talking about? I’m not going with just my “feelings”. I’m campaigning this hard, along with many others. I’ve been talking to developers, publishers, friends in the industry and the press for two days now. It’s been stated by Shahid that there is still a chance. We’ve been heard and now we need to make sure they keep hearing us.

You see it as “we did everything we could and this is all we can get, so let’s take it”, which is fine.
I see it as, “look at how ridiculously far we’ve come, so let’s try to go all the way”.

Don’t tell me how I’ll feel. You don’t know me. Worse comes to worse, I will be playing this game on a PSP. I’m going to experience this game one way or another. It’s just a matter of whether or not SE will get my money.

      • Duo Maxwell

If people just give it up that easily, this game won’t even come here, you know?

        Or Tales of Heart R.

        • Tyrannikos

Thank you. I can almost guarantee #JRPGVita is the reason Type-0 is even getting released at all.

        • Samsara09

tales of hearts R is coming subbed :D
          Fan demand can’t twist a company’s arm.

If they are humoring the thought of localizing a game that may fail, then it may work. But if they aren’t,or they decided that it is not worth the risk,it is over.

The vita is dead, there is a limit to entitlement. You can’t have everything the way you want it.

Also, square enix always localize their games.Fan demand probably played a considerate part, but I imagine SE just said that in order to please the fans.

          • Duo Maxwell

            >square enix always localize their games

Where is my Front Mission 5, then?

            • Samsara09

their main games.Should have put this in case you predictably considered pulling a really small fry game to screw my point.

              • Duo Maxwell

Front Mission is small fry game? Goddamn it, were you born in the 2000s or something?

          • MrFinalgamer

            “The vita is dead…”

No, just no. I get it, you’re upset that ToHR isn’t getting dubs, but it makes sense. They weren’t even going to localize it in the first place. The fact that they ARE, AND in a physical format proves that there’s a consumer base worth catering for on the Vita. That consumer base would eat the living shit out of the vita, specially after the big fuck up Square made with this announcement.

            • Samsara09

I wonder.Square supported the PSP by itself in the west, specifically on the rpg genre. They aren’t gonna “sacrifice” their profit margin again, especially when they have the 3ds.
Those tales of remakes are just experiments.

          • novurdim

            >tales of hearts R is coming subbed :D
Erm, thank u Bamco, I guess.

  • Samsara09

So…wasn’t this game gonna release on 2017 according to some “specialists”?

English Dub is usually the strawberry on the cake, you see.It is often the last part. This just shows that it is highly probable that we will get this game soon enough, like in 2015.Maybe even in winter 2014,lol.

    • MrFinalgamer

Depends on how much work they put on it. Apparently it might not be well optimized, so I would expect a winter 2014/early 2015. Maybe a Vita version down the line (BELIEVE~)

      • Samsara09

DON’T.We can’t have everything the way we want it.Maybe they will do it,after all,it is probably just copy and paste…but the vita has no future.

        • novurdim

We have to fight for what we want and Vita has plenty of foreseeable future. Your pessimism is funny.

    • Nick Greeley

Since the PSP localization was almost complete before it was cancelled, I think this is going to release a lot sooner than people think. It’s also probably being outsourced to another company like X/X-2 HD was

  • Pyrofrost

    I already have my copy of Type-0 on PS4 pre-ordered ^^

    • Anime10121

      Where at?
      Nvm I found it :)

  • SuperLuigi

Imo these are some of the best english voice actors out there.

  • Nate

I really want to see gameplay of this. The HD version that is.

    • Dmitriy

play on psp emulator with fan translation on any resolution

  • Budgiecat

    screenshot:

You have that Japanese Caucasian face…

  • Sae-Won Yoon

Wait a sec, so NOW they decide to cast for English when they said in the ulimanai-

AH FUCK IT. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER

    • MrFinalgamer

No, they were already casted, and voiced their characters 2 years ago. This is them just saying “yeah, we did that thing, but now that the thing will become a thing, we can now say we worked on it”

      • Samsara09

yeah. There is no point in bragging about something that “never happened” officially.

  • Lelouch Vi Britannia

So they add the english voice actor for Type-0 with Matt Mercer who was Alvin. Talk about awesome.

  • Samsara09

I find something truly intriguing.Fans bitch all over the net about Square Enix, hate, etc…but every news about them or their games always surpasses 100 comments.Just that annoucement had almost 800 comments.

  • ekibyougami

So from the original dubs, let’s see…..
    >Aoki Mayuko (Yuna / Seven)
    >Chihara Minori (Cater)
    >Kanazawa Hana (Deuce)
    >Hikasa Yoko (Soryu Commander)
    >Hirano Aya (Carla Ayatsugi)
    >Marina Inoue (Caetuna)
    >Ishida Akira (Kazusa Futahito)
    >Ishikawa Hideo (Qator Bashtar/Squall Leonhart/Auron)
    >Kaji Yūki (Ace/Bhunivelze/Hope Estheim)
    >Kamiya Hiroshi(Machina Kunagiri)
    >Koshimizu Ami (Queen)
    >Mizuki Nana (Celestia)
    >Nakamura Yuichi (Trey)
    >Ono Daisuke (Nine)

    >Suzumura Ken’ichi (Jack/Zack Fair)
    >Tanaka Rie (Emina Hanaharu)
    >Toyoguchi Megumi (Qun’mi Tru’e/Paine)
    >Toyosaki Aki (Cinque)
    >Hayashibara Megumi (Andoria)
    >Tanaka Atsuko (Arecia Al-Rashia/Ultimecia)

If they put in Troy Baker (and/or Nolan North) in the English dubs, then we’ll start talking!

And nice… they have Cristina Vee <3

  • MrFinalgamer

This isn’t The Witcher 3, or Uncharted 4 type game. Believe me, Type-0 HD won’t be anywhere close to pushing the PS4 to it’s limits. Also, if you look at most multiplat PS3, and PSVita titles, they normally scale back the Vita version NOT the console version. So really, if Type-0 comes to Vita, it won’t be holding back anything.

  • Luna Kazemaru

I’m not sure what you are talking about since this game did start out on a handheld. Pretty sure SE isn’t going to be putting that much money in the game to ‘push the ps4 to its limits’ like you think they are. This is more or less a cash and grab.

  • Luna Kazemaru

    lol ok :>

  • MrFinalgamer

One Piece wasn’t getting a physical version for the Vita. Namco changed their minds.
SOA wasn’t going to bring over Miku on the Vita. They changed their minds.

I doubt Square won’t try to cash-grab the Vita owners at some point with this game.

  • MrFinalgamer

What localization? The game is already translated, and voiced! Really, what they can easily do is just put the finished PSP NA version, and put it on PSN for Vita owners. Wouldn’t take any effort to do, and would be easy money.

  • Hikari Langley

~_~ You aren’t reading it right are you?
You talked about Project DIVA f and how sega first said no. But then wanted to localize it.

That’s not the same category as making a console port. It does take money and effort, PSN is not free uploading why put the game on a console that’s overrun with pirates.

  • MrFinalgamer

PSN for Vita, not for the PSP. It would be a heck of a lot more cost effective manner. It’s easier money. Just put the game on the PSN for the Vita, and call it a day. People will stop bitching, and will be more money for you (Square).

  • Hikari Langley

Welp, just keep wishing I guess. Square is not giving any cares. Just go next gen, also PSN for Vita UNLESS they waste money making it a VITA ported game. If it’s just the PSP game but on the PSN, pirates will get it.

  • https://www.behance.net/cobaltcomet KOKAYI5

They do. But argument are gonna happen. That’s why I usually come talk to y’all here. Over there the comments turn to argument twice as fast. All you have to say is “I like FF7″ or “FF13 was ok to me” and someone calls you a dick.
