Danganronpa: Another Episode’s main characters introduced
Latest look at upcoming Danganronpa action shooter spin-off.Famitsu has gone up with its latest online preview of Danganronpa action game spin-off Danganronpa: Another Episode. (This article has spoilers.)
The game is set one and a half years after the greatest despair in human history. Forced to live in the captivity of an apartment in Towa City, Komaru manages to escape to the outside world after she is attacked by Monokuma. Despair dominates the city, but a “certain person” entrusts Komaru to the “Megaphone-style Hacking Gun.”
Unlike many other Danganronpa characters, Komaru doesn’t have a special talent. She was separated from her family as a result of humanity’s greatest event of despair, and was confined to the apartment in solitude.
(Spoilers incoming.)
But returning from the original Danganronpa is a second protagonist—Ultimate Writing Prodigy Toko Fukawa. And her second personality, Genocide Jill, returns alongside her, giving players the option to switch between both sides. For certain reasons, she’ll support Komaru, using a stun gun to fight.
In Towa City, a group of five children known as the “Warriors of Hope” exist. They act as the leaders of the Monokuma Kids, a group of Monokuma mask-wearing children who slaughter adults. Like an RPG, each leader has his or her own “job.”
