Assassin's Creed: Unity

Assassin’s Creed: Unity will launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on October 28, Ubisoft announced.

Pre-orders include access to ‘The Chemical Revolution,’ an exclusive single-player mission with 30 minutes of additional content. In this mission, you’ll help the Father of Modern Chemistry, Antoine Lavoisier, escape his captors and recover his poison bomb formula.

A Collector’s Edition is also being released, which includes:

  • Figure of Arno poised atop a gargoyle
  • Music box that plays a remixed version of the Unity theme
  • Official soundtrack
  • Art book
  • Collector’s game box
  • Two in-game missions

The game, set among the turmoil of the French Revolution, offers a revamp of the series’ key pillars, including combat and navigation, which have been rebuilt “from the ground up.”

And as demonstrated earlier today, players will also be able to form their own Brotherhood and play with up to three friends in online co-op. This mode will feature story missions based around the Brotherhood and various historical events set during the French Revolution. Co-op is fully integrated into the game world, rather than being a separate experience. You’ll be able to call upon your friends at any time.

The story follows the young assassin Arno, who is drawn into the Assassin’s order and finds himself in the struggle for cntrol over the fate of France. He’ll be able to fully customize his weapons, equipment, outfits, and specialized skills.

Introduction to Arno

Quite a few October releases building up, time to start saving.

  • DarkLegacy

I’ll be pre-ordering this. It does look great

  • Impressionnant

Looking forward to it. I was glad to hear when the protag said that there were bad people on both sides. I was fearing that they would just glorify the proletarians.

    • Zackasaur

They were the good side in that conflict… But, yeah, the good side will undoubtedly have some bad guys in it.

      • Impressionnant

The revolutionaries created instability and committed genocide. Read up on the Reign of Terror. I hope I get to assassinate many prols.

I’m an academic who studies these events for a living.

The revolution was absolutely justified. In a good vs. evil fight, atrocities are still guaranteed. Because it’s a fight.

This is why we should strive for a world where people aren’t disenfranchised and oppressed like the workers of France were. We shouldn’t need violence to make the world better. But they DID need it. And we should all be thankful for them.

Looks really amazing. Just wish the combat would be overhauled, never been a fan of that in AC games.

  • BlazingSkies

Really looking forward to this. Ubisoft did a great job on that first gameplay impression. I really don’t care if people say it’s a rehash.

    • Zackasaur

      Those people are dumb. c:

Without a doubt pre-ordering this. It blew my mind!

So they’re French but speak with English accents…

    Interesting I guess

    • Hidayat246

      Fun Fact :
AC 1 – Arabic but speak english
AC 2 – Italian but speak english

    • Nhiroz

Wasn’t it because of the Animus? I’m sure it says in AC1
