Latest look at Capcom's free-to-play PlayStation 4 dungeon RPG.

A public beta test for Deep Down is currently planned to launch this summer, producer Kazunori Sugiura said in a Facebook update.

Two new screenshots were also shared.

Sugiura promises an update on the game’s progress in June.

Really need to know more about Capcom’s F2P monetization plans before i let myself feel excited for this game.

You would’ve rathered pay $60 to buy this than play free and put at least $30 into it?

      • andozero

For me, the answer might be yes. F2P is not inherently evil, but more often than not F2P games are designed in ways that non-F2P are not; small-scale, repetitious, and generally not very exciting. I’m hoping that Deep Down avoids the common F2P pitfalls, but until I know what the game’s like, I’m definitely curbing my enthusiasm.

        • Invisbin

Well how would you define repetitious? The hunting genre, shooters, and rpgs can all be called repetitious, just with $40-$60.

  • Solomon_Kano

    I’m ready

  • Zackasaur

    This game is gorgeous.

The beta is in summer , huh?

I wonder when’s the actual release date. I hope it’s after September, because I want Omega Quintet to be the first ever JRPG to exclusively hit the PS4.
