Everything up to update 14 included.

Mojang will release a retail version of Minecraft: PlayStation 3 Edition on May 16 in North America and May 14 in Europe, the studio announced.

The retail version comes with everything up to update 14, including Emeralds, Ender Chests, potatoes, and more.

In related news, Mojang said it’s still working on bringing the game to PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and presumably Xbox One (the news comes via a PlayStation Blog post), and apologized for the delay. In Europe, at least, it appears the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions will also come to retail.

    This game should be F2P.

Why? Then you’d have to buy tools and materials through micro-transactions and that would suck balls

You must have absolutely no understanding of what this would entail and you’re just talking out of your arse. Who the heck would this advantage? No one. Mojang would lose. Players would lose.

Pay money to get a copy of a game. Play the game. No need to pay any more money. Have fun with it. The good ol’ business model that has worked really well for Minecraft and let it remain that way.

I guess I should wait then

If the retail version comes out in NA for Vita, I’ll buy it.

They need to get a PS Vita bundle for Minecraft and advertise how it’s better than the pocket edition. Toss in LBP Vita in there too, with a free code for the Time Saver DLC so people can get to creating levels right away without playing too much of the game.

      Creators Pack!

I’d push Terraria over LBP admittedly but yeah that’s the right idea and I mean if you and I see it, surely Sony sees it…right D=?

        • Elvick

I just think Terraria would be too similar. I know they’re different, obviously, but idk.

But they could do something smart with it…

But hey, I’m sure you also think that a Killzone: Mercenary bundle makes sense. And SCEA didn’t bother with that.

So… I doubt they’ll do something that good.

Of course a Killzone Mercenary Bundle makes sense, it’s a first party franchise and it would have really helped to push what people claim is a well polished little game (I’m still trying to snag a copy myself, missed the amazing sale for the digital copy). I mean just think, “Oh, a good FPS on a portable?!” says those whom don’t even know Vita exists.

            Could have made the genre more viable and help it to grow. But oh well, if I continue I’m going to sound extremely bitter and (way Off topic). Retail Minecraft, good stuff, please have retail Vita X_X;

I’ll bite. My crap computer can’t play this without it turning into a blocky rendition of Silent Hill.
