Guacamelee developer announces gesture-based Severe
Severe and equip your fallen enemies' body parts. The next game from Guacamelee and Tales from Space developer DrinkBox Studios is Severed, a dungeon crawler where you can equip the severed body parts of fallen enemies, Destructoid reports.
It follows a distraught warrior trying to piece together a mystery, such as how she wakes up missing a part of her arm. In an open world, you’ll battle enemies through gesture-based controls in firstperson, gaining new powers by severing and equipping your enemies’ body parts.
The game offers many branching paths, and its gesture-based attacks are likened to that of Epic Games‘ Infinity Blade. That said, the game requires a touch screen, so is likely for mobile platforms, but the team is open to bringing Severed to PS Vita, 3DS< and Wii U, as well astrying out stuff like PlayStation Move, Kinect, and Project Morpheus.
The game is due out in 2015. Watch the debut trailer below.
