Sweet! I’ll be grabbing all of these~

Hopefully there’s a LE for DR2 and its better than the DR1 LE.

    • Anime10121

I heard DR2 has the story from DR1 included, is that true or am I remembering wrong?

      • TheExile285

No, DR2 only has its own story.

        • Anime10121

Ok, means I’ll still have to pick up the first then…

          • TheExile285

Yep. Just make sure you don’t get spoiled.

          • SprintsMcGee

I mean, if you want there was an anime series made based on DR1 that you can watch if you don’t want to buy the first game…..but that would be crazy. The game is just so damn awesome =D

I thought the DR1 LE was fantastic. Sadly I didn’t get it, because dumb. But eh.

      • TheExile285

It looked nice but it was kind of disappointing. The art book was just character portraits and nothing else and the soundtrack was mostly the execution tracks (with the sound effects left in). The box is really nice though.

It would have been nice if they included the non-spoilerific promo art or included more of the in-game tracks for the soundtrack.

Regardless, I don’t regret buying it and I’ll most likely but whatever LE they do for DR2, I just hope its better.

Atus distributing NISA games? This is the first time they’ve done this since the original Disgaea I think. o_O

    • DesmaX

They always distributed their games in the US.

Just pick a random copy of a NISA game, and check the disc. You should see “Distributed exclusively by Index Digital Media” written on it

      • DarthBrian

        Huh. Interesting.

  • http://youtube.com/kentamidorin Karmistral

I bought Fairy Fencer F when it first came out. I have to say it’s pretty fun, and i’m so glad with the localization. Looking forward to it since it’s release is just before my birthday~

    • greenreaper

Me too. ^ ^ It’s about a week after mine.

    • Budgiecat

I would never rush out and buy a NIS import game since most of them get localized. Seems like a waste of money to double dip. too many games coming out

      • Shippoyasha

NIS games tend to be a bit censored and many don’t have dual audio so purists have good reason why they may want to import.

        • Elvick

          “many don’t have dual audio”

Um, yes they do. Most do, and the only ones that don’t… have no English, but keep Japanese. (these are usually PSN-only releases)

NISA and Aksys always give Japanese audio. Atlus and Xseed are the ones who rarely do.

          • Shippoyasha

Yeah but the light censoring is the reason why a lot of purists cite the reasoning for imports. There aren’t that many NISA games that doesn’t have dual audio. Honestly, it really shouldn’t matter unless one is a true diehard purist of the original source.

And I agree Atlus is more wonky with the audio stuff. Not to mention the region locks they put on some games.

            • OverlordZetta

It was only one game – probably two once its sequel comes out, but not enough to say “some.”

      • Elvick

Fairy Fencer F isn’t a NIS developed game though. It’s Compile Heart. Sure, NISA often handles their games, but you never know. Especially with Idea Factory now publishing.

        • Budgiecat

eh same difference. Compile Heart games get localized (unless its a VN)

          • OverlordZetta

Actually, a few of them haven’t – as seen with them begging for them.

Some N1 games don’t always make it over either.

      • http://youtube.com/kentamidorin Karmistral

Oh it’s fine~ I’ve done that for a lot of RPGs mostly because i use them to practice my Japanese comprehension. I also have some disposable income.

  • Manny Being Manny

Once again Amazons dates for NISA games proved legit. They had those Disgaea 4 and Danganronpa 2 dates a couple days after NISA announced them for localization.

  • pekot

    Disgaea in august

  • MrFinalgamer

Man, now I got a deadline for me to finish all the extra stuff in Disgaea 3…
Oh and DR2! Hype up bitches! Let’s welcome despair together!!!

  • http://www.cubiz.tk/ Auragar

*nods* *nods* Sounds good to me.

  • Learii

why there another disgaea 4 for vita?

    • http://s932.photobucket.com/ usagi_san

Another? No, this is port that includes all the DLC and new story content.

      • Learii

        oh lol ok

    • Elvick

There isn’t. You’re confusing it with Disgaea 3.

  • Malon

Definitely buying Disgaea 4 and Danganronpa 2.

Maaaaan, there are already so many games to buy, my wallet can’t follow.

  • Nightcore34

Yess fairy fencer F release date although wondering when it releases will it be in physical and will it be for UK as well.

  • Elvick

Yes. Hope they have a CE for Danganronpa 2 and Fairy Fencer F. I’d like at least a neat preorder bonuses for D4 on Vita, like the cloth that Disgaea 3 got.

    • orzorzorz

judging by how quickly the first DR game’s CE sold out, NISA would be making a mistake if they didn’t release one for SDR2.

      • Elvick

Very true. Didn’t think of that. :P

    • OverlordZetta

Given how popular their CEs are, I would think that now that Vitas are more widespread they might see more benefit to D4 even getting one now, even if it’s a port. I guess we’ll see.

I thought NIS America distributed games for Atlus (specifically, in EU markets), not the other way around.

At any rate, props to NIS for choosing the $40 price point for Fairy Fencer F. It doesn’t look like it deserves a $60 game, no offense to it. Another in a line of games (that includes Tales of Xillia, Lost Dimension, Natural Doctrine, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE and more) that, as far as engineering is concerned, are little more than HD PS2 games. Don’t get me wrong; I’m glad they’re bringing games to Sony’s home console, even if it’s on it’s way out now, but they’re not top-tier productions.

I hope it’s good, btw. Compile Heart doesn’t exactly inspire faith to me. But it looks different (for them), so I’ll keep an open mind and keep it on my radar. Could be interesting :)

    • http://www.psvitadirect.com/ Kurisu Makise

I’m going to pick it up just because Amano had some involvement =3 Whereas the other title announcements were sure fire anyway, particularly Danganronpa 2, however if there was ever a time for a LE, I’d want it for Danganronpa 2. If I can’t secure one I’ll probably go digital like I am for 1.

    • OverlordZetta

FFF is probably the least CH game CH has ever made. Music, story, and most of the big stuff was delegated to outsiders who are pretty big – bigger than them at least.

      I’m cautiously optimistic.

  • ayb_91

Danganronpa disappointed me in so many ways. I couldn’t even finish it. I thought it was like Zero Escape.

    And why D4 is for 40$? -_-

    • Elvick

      Why not?

It includes all the DLC, which alone probably totals over $40. Plus the original game, plus even more content, plus the epicness of Disgaea on a handheld.

    • orzorzorz

      …why wouldn’t D4R be for full price?
