AKIBA’S TRIP 2 coming to PlayStation 4 in Japan
New version offers updated graphics, interactive features.AKIBA’S TRIP: Undead & Undressed, or AKIBA’S TRIP 2, is coming to PlayStation 4 in Japan on July 3, Acquire announced.
The PlayStation 4 version of the game, first launched for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan last November and due out in North America this summer, will have upgraded graphics, faster load times, a greater number of NPCs displayed on screen in Akihabara, Share button functionality, and more.
A “Visual Editor” has also been added, allowing players to produce their own wire-frame cyberspace version of Akihabara, and do things such as change the atmosphere that of a summer evening.
All paid and free downloadable content from the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions will come with the PlayStation 4 version, including the “Swimsuit Set” for heroines, and “Chibi Mode,” which will be unlocked after clearing the game.
When live-streaming the game, viewers will be able to help players in a pinch by entering “help” in the comments. Then, Nana, the protagonist’s hikkikomori sister, will come to the rescue dressed in super powerful equipment. Other comments, like “panty jump,” will cause panties to rain down on Akihabara.
First-print copies of the game will include a “Character Variation Set” download code.
When asked by fans on Twitter if the PlayStation 4 version would also come to North America, XSEED said, “our deal is for the PS3 and Vita versions only right now, but we will look into this.”
