Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day dated in Europe
Short Peace compilation comes to Europe on April 18.Ranko Tsukigime’s Longest Day will launch or PlayStation 3 on April 18 in Europe and Australasia, Namco Bandai announced.
The bundle includes the Crispy’s-developed side-scrolling action game, as well as four animated short films part of the Short Peace compilation. They are:
- A Farewell to Weapons – Directed by Hajime Katoki and takes place in Tokyo, in the near future. A five-person platoon visits the ruined city, in the middle of the desert; this leads them to fall into a battle with a single unmanned tank! One by one, all routes of escape are blocked…
- Combustible – Directed by Katsuhiro Otomo (the creator of Steamboy & Akira) – takes place in the city of Edo in the 18th century. Where Owaka, a merchant’s daughter, and her childhood sweetheart Matsukichi, find their differing social standings render their love impossible. In her mad desperation, Owaka does something that engulfs the entire city in a deadly inferno…
- Gambit – Directed by Hiroaki Ando and takes place at the end of the 16th century, as the Sengoku era draws to a close… A fortress in the northern region of Japan, Tohoku, is sacked by a giant, solitary demon. When Kao, a young girl from the village, meets a mystical polar bear who understands what she says, she turns to it for help!
- Possessions – During the 18th century. A man lost deep in the mountains in the middle of a violent storm stumbles across a small shrine. Entering it, he suddenly finds himself in a room from another world, where discarded umbrellas and unused kimonos come alive, possessed by spirits…
In North America, the game will be distributed as a download title on PlayStation Network.
