Team up with Trafalgar Law to defeat Donquixote Doflamingo.

One Piece: Unlimited World Red

The PlayStation 3, Wii U, PS Vita, and updated 3DS release of One Piece: Unlimited World Red will feature all new content in the form of a Coliseum Mode, Namco Bandai announced.

Coliseum Mode will “closely resemble” the latest episodes of One Piece and bring “heart-pounding action and glory” to the ring as pirates fight to earn the top ranking. Trafalgar Law, one of the Royal Seven Warlords of the Sea, will join Luffy as playable, but only in Coliseum Mode, to battle Donquixote Doflamingo, who is joining the battle or the first time.

In related news, it was announced in Japanese magazines this weekend that the PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PS Vita versions (the 3DS version is already out) would launch on June 12 in the country, with first-print copies including a limited costume and download code for an additional quest.

    what about ps4 ?

Like J-Stars Victory Vs, this will only be on PS3, as far as a Playstation console is concerned. There are many reasons for this, the most prevalent being that it has a greater install base than the PS4.

        awwww crappy pants…

If you don’t see it addressed in the article after platforms have been confirmed, that means it’s most likely not fucking happening. I swear, I wish Zero or Sal would issue a ban every time someone says this stupid shit.

        hahah,i wish :)

So who is making the new versions? The same developer who made the original?

    • Pyrofrost

It’s being done by Ganbarion, the game’s developer.

The thing I find annoying about this is the fact that they are going into the currently running arc and doing some “what-if” bullshit. That drives me insane when games do that. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still getting it; but this is just something I don’t like.

They should have just stuck with “original story” since the game is an “original story” and left the Dressrosa Arc out of it.

        Thanks for the info~

Are the console versions in any way enhanced? I mean, they cost 20 bucks more so I figure it’s not just a 1:1 port.

    • British_Otaku

Nope. It is just an extra charge because consoles.
The only difference between all of them is trophies (PS3/Vita), StreetPass (3DS) and cooperative play which is up to two players on consoles and four players on portables. No online either way.

        I see, thanks.
I’ll get it on 3DS then, I guess.
