Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories has a VR Mission Mode

Namco Bandai has shared new details and screenshots on Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories, its upcoming PlayStation 3 release including the new Missing Link chapter and remakes of five Gundam Side Story games.

In addition to the original story mode, there will be a variety of other missions. Players can aim to create the strongest team in “VR Mission Mode,” which will play identical to the story with a platoon of three mecha. You’ll be able to take control of your favorite Mobile Suits, freely mix up their troops, and take on various missions.

Points earned from missions can get you new Mobile Suits. Or, you can use points to strengthen your mecha to make your dream team. Missions can be retried, as well.

Games packaged in Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories include:

• Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: The Blue Destiny (trailer)
• Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story 0079: Rise From The Ashes (also known as Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: At the Site of the Fallen Colony)
• Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Space, To the End of a Flash
• Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front
• Mobile Suit Gundam: Lost War Chronicles
• Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link

First-print copies of the game will include the following bonuses:

• “Pale Rider” product code for use in Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation for PlayStation 3
• SD Gundam Generation Frontier for iOS/Android
• “Pale Rider” serial code for use in Gundam Area Wars for iOS/Android
• A PlayStation 3 product code to download an original digest introduction video about the Mobile Suit Gunam Side Story series

A 14,893 yen limited edition will also be available. It will include:

• Gundam HGUC “Pale Rider” Limited Metallic Ver.
