Yoshi’s New Island ‘Eggsotic Locales’ trailer, screenshots

Yoshi Special Edition 3DS XL announced for Europe.

Nintendo released a new trailer and screenshots for Yoshi’s New Island showing off the game’s ‘exotic’ locales during its first Nintendo Direct broadcast of 2014 tonight.

The company revealed the game will feature big eggs called Mega Eggdozers, as well as Metal Eggdozers, that enable Yoshi to venture underwater. Using the gyro controls of the 3DS, players can maneuver a Submarine Yoshi or Jackhammer Yoshi, or transform into a “Super Yoshi” that lets you fly and run along walls and ceilings. Flutter Wings might appear for players having difficulty completing a level, allowing the to take to the sky.

Outside the new media and information, Nintendo of Europe announced it will release a special edition 3DS XL alongside the game on March 14.
