Fun fact: both of these are real things.

Thanks, NeoGAF.

But I just checked Google Maps and while the street address is correct and the sign and awning are accurate, the street is totally wrong: its a ground level store for one thing amidst a bunch of other single level stores in a more relatively suburban town setting not as urban looking with those 4 story brick buildings and such…

It’s just a reference. It doesn’t need to be historically accurate. People know what it is when they see it if they’re familiar with the real version :p

actually they probably did it like that to help take use of his parkour abilities with a more diverse landscape…

        • TetsuyaHikari

          No, really?

They did numerous interviews already about their seattle setting. I can’t remember which interview it was but they did mention they moved a lot of memorable scenery, buildings, and monuments around to make it fit the infamous world.

I’m not surprised. This sort of thing happens all the time. People throw in some real stores and such into the game, but the location is off (see: Ryu ga Gotoku).

I’m not sure why the cat seemed surprised, lol.

                he’s a true Seattle patriot

The La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo? How is that possible?!

              • Gigus

Remember! Humor the cat XD (just kidding budgie cat). Anyways I think they did that due to copy right issues as well. If you remember that guy who tried to sue Naughty dog over a map in the last of us? Not sure if they paid the guy but I find it ridiculous. Its just a map. Its not like naughty dog stood up a map store and started selling them and not share the profit. Anyways… yeah… legal mumbo jumbo.

Those toes could use some tessellations…
That aside, from what we’ve seen of the game so far, exploration will definitely be awesome.
