Extra time needed to apply the "finishing touches."

The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall will not launch alongside its Xbox One and PC counterparts on March 11. EA and Respawn have delayed the current-gen version of the mech shooter until March 25.

On Twitter, EA said that Bluepoint Games, developer of the Xbox 360 version, needs the extra time “to put the finishing touches on the game.”

And if you believe it was delayed for polish and not to sell more copies of the Xbox One version, then I have some swampland for sale cheap! :p

Or maybe they are just hoping the Xbox one version is well enough reviewed that no one will notice how poor the 360 port is!

    Gee whiz, I wonder why…

They’re probably working on multiple projects at the same time.

Publishers go to great lengths to ensure simultaneous releases to coincide with their marketing hype train; if one version needed more time, they would delay them all. There is no question they did this to slant sales towards the xbone.

Convenient that DigitalFoundry and friends won’t be able to compare how much better (or not) the xbone version is until it’s too late for many.
