Namco Bandai is bringing Shin Gundam Musou to PlayStation 3 in North America via the PlayStation Store and Europe via retail and digital this summer as Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn, the company announced.
The game originally debuted on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita in Japan last December. The PS Vita version was not announced for localization.
Gundam Reborn is set in an era known as the “Universal Century,” in which giant mecha called Mobile Suits are used to wage war across land, sea, air, and space.
The game features Mobile Suits and pilots across over 30 years of the Gundam franchise, letting players battle across the series’ “largest roster” of mecha yet.
Players will “relive battles and animation sequences” with the “largest number of missions ever” spanning the entire franchise, including Mobile Suit Gundam SEED in Official Mode. Players can also select Mobile Suit pilots to operate any unlocked Mobile Suit in the game for crossover missions in Ultimate Mode.
The game will have you battling through hoards of enemies across multiple scenarios, completing missions and upgrading your Mobile Suit and weapon systems along the way. Weapon upgrades are reflected graphically, as well. You’ll also have the option of playing split-screen or online co-op with a friend.
And for the first time ever in the series, the massive Mobile Armor units will also be playable. Mobile Armor units “tower over the opposition and deliver absolute destruction to the enemy” with unique weapons and giant stature.
