Reminder: NIS America is holding a press event on Thursday.

Super Danganronpa 2

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc only just launched, but a localization for sequel Super Danganronpa 2 might already be in the works.

Japanator caught wind of a tweet, now deleted, from voice actor Kyle Hebert, who wrote, “I voice Kazuichi Souda in Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc, out today for PS Vita.”

The problem with Hebert’s tweet is that Kazuichi Souda is not a Danganronpa character, but rather a Super Danganronpa 2 character.

NIS America is holding a press event on Thursday where it will announce new game localizations. Perhaps we’ll hear about Super Danganronpa 2 then?

reminds me of when James Earl Jones gave away Anakin’s demise in an interview before SW ep III

      • Ereek

Eh. That was really spoiled 20 years before Episode 3 came out.

  • Jontaku

Oh wow completely forgot about the press event. Love Danganronpa so the 2nd one would be amazing

  • bloodiOS

    Awesome if true =D

  • Auragar

Probably, but I still don’t know why they separated the games. ><

Localizing two visual novels in the west at the price of one would have made Danganronpa an extremely risky project for NIS America, especially considering those aren’t simply text heavy games but require a lot of image editing because of the Trials minigames.

In Japan the Vita version included both Danganronpas, but that was only because they were already released on PSP (the first game already had a PSP budgetupdated version, if I remember correctly) and the Vita game was a re-release with some additional contents.

It’s originally two game, localizing the vita rerelease would be the same as them localizing for two game which isn’t feasible for uncertain project like this and relatively small company like NISA.

It would be nice to have Danganronpa 2 ad NISA event, but I think HDN or Fairy Fencer F is more likely

    • Ereek

They announce more than 1 game at these events. I’d say all of the above are viable options.

I want all these games!!! =)

  • Rikimaru

I want to see more companies like NIS where they actually localize their good games.
