You can now download Dream Club, Onigiri, and more.

The PlayStation 4 PlayStation Store is now live in Japan.

PlayStation 4 - Japanese PlayStation Store PlayStation 4 - Japanese PlayStation Store

If you have a Japanese PlayStation Network account, you’re free to sign-in and browse the store’s launch day offerings. Some titles, like Yakuza: Ishin, understandably don’t allow you to download them just yet. But other games, like the free Dream Club: Host Girls on Stage and Onigiri, can be downloaded.

Also, be sure to download the three free months of PlayStation Plus. Japan’s current free full game offerings through the subscription include Tokyo Jungle (PS3), Dream Club: Complete Edipyon (PS3), Soul Sacrifice (PS Vita), Ciel no Surge (PS Vita), Demon Gaze (PS Vita), and more.

      • jujubee88

I’ve already got a VITA. I’m being frugal and not buying a PS4, but I’ll see about the tax return and extra expenses.

I might have one by the end of the year.

        • Budgiecat

I’m really in no rush actually and I don’t have a Vita yet either. Just mah PS2,PS3 and 3DS….oh and this pieceo crap 360 I rarely use…

          • lxm

Same here. PS2, PS3, PSP, 3DS. I play PS1 games in my PS2 and PSP, and DS games in my 3DS.

          • jujubee88

Yeah. The only people who should rush to buy a PS4 are those that want to play online games now.

My VITA has served me just fine. Nothing but VITA for now, aamaf.

The “game” (host girl viewer) is pretty straightforward, but this might prove helpful for those who want to try Dream Club:

カラオケ = Karaoke – Here, you can enjoy the host girls dancing and sining.

    – Click this to be brought to your song list. You should only have Koi Weekend.

    – Click Square to see your host girl formation for each song. You can set them individually in Member Designation.

    – Click L1 and R1 to cycle through Team Songs (チーム曲) and シングル曲 (Single Songs)

    – When you’re watching a song and hit the options button, you’re given some choices: 曲選択 (Song Selection), アンコール (Encore), ランダム再生 (Random Playback), and オプション (Options, detailed below)

メンバー指名 = Member Designation – Here you can designate the team’s center host girl during songs.

    – Click triangle for the menu, then L1 and R1 to cycle through center designations for Team Songs (チーム曲) and シングル曲 (Single Songs)

ショップ = Shop – Here, you can buy additional goodies. (nothing to buy yet, guessing there will be new songs and outfits here, as well as designation rights for members [moving them freely instead of picking one to be center])

    オプション = Options

    – マイク音量 = Mic Volume – Increase or decrease the mic volume for each girl.

    – エフェクト = Effects – あり/なし (on/off)

    – 歌詞表示 = Lyrics Display – あり/なし (on/off)

    – カメラタイプ = Camera Type – ストリーム/ランダム/フリーラン/スイッチャー (stream/random/free run/switcher)

    – 初期設定 = Default Setting

    クレジット = Credits

Also remember, circle is confirm, X is back. When it asks you to create new save data, go to yes and hit circle.

If you want all the trophies, set a girl as your center, play a song, and you’ll get her center trophy. Then do it again for the next 13 girls.

Side note – I’m obsessed with Koi Weekend.

    • DarthBrian

      OMG THANKS! <3 <3 <3

      • Sal Romano

You can 100 percent the trophies in like 35 minutes. It’s cool, though, if you don’t mind listening to Koi Weekend 14 times.

Hey… what will the free 3 months of PS+ Look like on the Japanese PSN?

    • Sal Romano

Go to PlayStation Plus on the left menu, then hit the big 3ヶ月無料 button.

A side note, If anyone isn’t fluent in Japanese you can use the browser PSN and log in with your Japanese account and the browser will auto translate a lot of stuff on the store.

And Baseball Stars and Metal Slug on PS3 also appear to be free with JPN PS+.

      • Bobby Jennings

I hit that but I still don’t see the Plus icon next to my PSN. Why is that?

      • AlphaSixNine

This worked. Now I can get Ciel No Surge for free and get that Ar NoSurge demo! >:D

  • Sal Romano

Appears there will be a PS4 Yakuza Ishin demo on Friday. None of the Yakuza links on the store work right now, but under the demos section, there’s a big banner image for Yakuza.

    • Anime10121

Yay! I’m SO gonna download this when it drops Friday :D

Now, to remember my login info for my JPN account so I can add it to my PS4…

  • RyoonZ

Hopefully the game will be playable with my main account after official launching in Japan.

    • Sal Romano

They are. I was playing Dream Club on my main.

      • RyoonZ

Your main account is US or JP? When I tried to play with my main account it has a lock.

        • Sal Romano

          • RyoonZ

Ah I get it now, I didn’t set my JP account as primary PS4. I thought you only do that to your main account. Thanks :D

        • AlphaSixNine

I got this same problem except I already have my JP account as Primary PS4. Still has a lock and it keeps giving me an error message. D:

          • RyoonZ

Hmm that’s weird, have you tried restore license?

            • AlphaSixNine

oh I can do that? how?

              • RyoonZ

                In the PSN Setting.

                • AlphaSixNine

                  Cool it worked! Thanks :D

  • AlphaSixNine

Weird…. after downloading Dream Club I keep getting this error trying to start it.

“Cannot Start the application: This application can be started only by a user who has a license for it”.

I tried all my accounts (JPN/ASN/US/EU) all gave the same error message. D:

On your Japanese account, you need to register your ps4 as your one main console, and swear allegiance to sony reciting the blood oath
