Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link

Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Missing Link will launch on May 29 in Japan, this week’s Famitsu reveals.

The title of the game has also been changed to Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories. In addition to the new Missing Link story, it will include high-definition remakes of previous games using new systems, including The Blue Destiny; 0079; Lost War Chronicles; Space, To the End of a Flash; and Zeonic Front. The same voice actors will be returning, and a story mode from the viewpoint of Nimbus has been added.

The standard edition will cost 8,208 yen and the limited edition 14,893 yen.

The first-print limited edition will include a Gundam plastic model of new Mobile Suit “RX80PR Pale Rider,” as well as the Side Story series soundtrack and art collection.

Pre-order bonuses include a “Pale Rider” code for use in Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation, Gundam: Area Wars, and SD Gundam: G Generation Frontier.

Nice! Let’s keep this rolling! I’ve got something to wait for after Super Robot Wars Z3 arrives, haha.

Also, what does this mean exactly?

“The first-print limited version will include a Gundam plastic model of new Mobile Suit “RX80PR Pale Rider,” as well as the Side Story series soundtrack and art collection”

Does this mean the first print of the limited edition only includes the plastic model of the Pale Rider or is that included as a first print bonus for the standard version and it’s in limited quantities?

EDIT: Just looked up Pale Rider and couldn’t find a damn thing at all on it @w@

Is this a new unit specific to the game or something?

Tetsuchan, this is a f*cking epic news, Blue Destiny remake in-disc, with Minubasu story, oh yeah! 5 games in 1, SOLD.

      • TetsuyaHikari

Yeah, haha. I was just telling my friend about it. I’m going to love seeing Blue Destiny in HD with the new system >w<

Here is a list of the games in HD that will be included:

        ・機動戦士ガンダム外伝 THE BLUE DESTINY
Lost War Chronicles

I also managed to find this scan showing some of Blue Destiny and the titles in the top right corner~

I hope all of this games are in-disc and not DLC, mother of god, Blue Destiny in HD T_T I’m so happy.
I hope they re-voice the game with Megumi Hayashibara “EXAM System, stand-by..” :P

EDIT: Oh, Megumi is Marion! :P

            • TetsuyaHikari

Doubtful since they used a different voice for it in Gundam Extreme VS.

              So Stoked!
Them BD units kick major asses and White Dingos are awesome!

              My PS3 is freaken ready!

  • Budgiecat

So these aren’t really exact HD versions of those games but rather just really their stories redone to fit into this game… but where is then Rise from the Ashes?

    • 永次

“0079” is Colony no ochitachi de… known in USA as “Rise from the Ashes”.

      • Budgiecat

What’s listed is Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: The Blue Destiny, Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Space, to the End of a Flash, Mobile Suit Gundam: Zeonic Front, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Lost War Chronicles.

Edit: Okay, upon doing more research, turns out 機動戦士ガンダム外伝 コロニーの落ちた地で is Mobile Suit Gundam 0079 Rise from the Ashes, the first person shooter for Sega Dreamcast.

Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: Blue Destiny was a compilation disc of the first three Gundam Side Story Sega Saturn FPS games that were originally sold separately and of course never localized.

Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story: To the End of a Flash was that mini story within the rail shooter Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space (PS2)

Then there’s Mobile Suit Gundam 0079: Zeonic Front, the tactical third person shooter for PS2

And finally, the Mobile Suit Gundam: Lost War Chronicles (PS2), another third person shooter with clunky controls similar to MS Gundam: Journey to Jaburo. This one was also was never localized.

So basically its seven story remakes we’re getting. The description was just worded confusingly…

    • TetsuyaHikari

I’d consider them HD remakes since they are taking the old games and applying the new system to them.

  • Vyse Legendaire

Wtf?! How can this be so epic?!

  • miyamoto

Oh my Goodness! I love them PS2 and Dreamcast and Sega Saturn Gundam games!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
