Sales for Xbox One launch racer Forza Motorsport 5 have exceeded one million units worldwide, Microsoft announced.
In an Xbox Wire post, the company said “more than one-third of [Xbox One] console owners” have purchased the game since its November 22 release. As of the end of 2013, Xbox One sold three million units.
Combined, players have driven over 653 million road miles, participated in over 94 million races, put in eight million hours of total gameplay, and Drivatars have populated races and challenges more than one billion times.
To celebrate the numbers, Microsoft has released the ‘Road America’ additional track add-on free of charge. It will will be automatically added into the Career events for the racing career, and includes four alternate ribbons.
A Road America booster pack is also being released today. It’s part of the Forza Motorsport 5 season pass, and includes the 2006 #2 Audi Sport North America R8, 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1, 1968 Ferrari 365 GTB/4, 1971 Ford Mustang Mach 1, and the 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series.
