A look at the PS Vita version's added beach scenario.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma

Arc System Works has released 143 screenshots from the PS Vita version of BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma.

You’ll see everything from main characters Ragna the Bloodedge to downloadable characters like Kagura Mutsuki, Yuki Terumi, and Kokonoe. If you already purchased these characters in the PlayStation 3 version, they’ll be instantly available in the PS Vita version (so long as you’re using the same PlayStation Network account).

The images also show various game modes, including Story Mode, Tutorial Mode, “Teach Me More, Miss Litchi!,” Library Mode, Arcade Mode, Score Attack Mode, Unlimited Mars Mode, Network Mode, and Abyss Mode.

You’ll also see the PS Vita version’s added scenarios, which includes recaps of BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger and BlazBlue: Continuum Shift, and a new beach scene where Ragna, Kagura, Noel, and Celica slap on their trunks and bikinis.

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma is due out for PS Vita in Japan on April 24 and in North America this summer. View the screenshots at the gallery.

    It’s Blazblue alright.

Not huge on that boxart. Then again, I don’t like the PS3 boxart either but I like it more than that one.

Want. Wish it came out with the PS3 version, oh well.

“Teach Me More, Miss Litchi!” mode sounds delicious.

Looks good to me, looking forward to this next month along with quite a few other games it seems. March is going to be rather crazy for releases this year.

Still wondering though, know it’s probably nothing and I’m more than likely making a mountain out of a molehill. But with the more references to the events of Remix Hearts and its characters, wondering if one or a couple of the characters from that series might show up (Maybe in just sprite form) in the next/final installment for BlazBlue. With how they reference what happened to Mai, Taro, and the others from it, wondering if they’ll end up showing up in that next game.

It’d be something keen, but I’m not too sure it’s something the team/fans would really care for in general. Still, I wish that Mai would be playable at some point in the future.

    lemme guess…

Ragna is going to be stereotypically uninterested in the females running around half naked on the beach…

Can’t wait. I was ready to bite the bullet (lulz) and get it for PS3 next month, but now I’ll just wait for this version.

What will probably be reduced audio quality is a small price to pay for portability.

Nothing that can’t be fixed with headphones, right? ^^
