Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition

An Xbox LIVE Marketplace listing has leaked Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate Deluxe Edition, a high-definition version of Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate for PS Vita and 3DS with new maps, enemies, difficulties, suits, and enhanced graphics.

The game will presumably come to PlayStation Network and PC, as well. With the current state of Wii U, we can’t be as sure—but Batman: Arkham Origins did come to Wii U, so there’s that. A release date of March 25 is mentioned in the listing.

Find the game’s full description and some screenshots below.

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate – Deluxe Edition amplifies the 2.5-D game with new maps, enemy encounters, difficulty levels, batsuits, and enhanced visuals. A companion game to Batman: Arkham Origins, players can continue the storyline of the console version and discover more details of the Dark Knight’s past. Featuring stealth gameplay, free-flow combat, and Batman’s famed arsenal of gadgets, the genuine Arkham experience is reproduced in a deep, action packed side-scrolling adventure.

I’m glad I didn’t get it for the Vita then

This has always been the plan. Armature mistakenly released screenshots for the game that contained Xbox 360 buttons, lol.

they cancelled the Arkham Origins DLC for the WiiU, here’s the answer for the WiiU version.

Unless they fix the actual map of the levels, then no one should care about this. That is a huge flaw in the game that if not fixed is simply ridiculous.

Anyhoo, this is more suited to a handheld for me. So I’m glad to have it on Vita. Won’t buy it again. Especially if they don’t fix the map system.

    Navigating the game is nightmare.

So true. And the combo-system is also quite a PITA.

Don’t know if I should get happy or sad about this. Sometimes I hate videogame industry so much.

Oh WB Games, gotta get that money huh.

I’m always by these decisions to port handheld games to consoles. Seriously, if you’re doing this then why did you even bother to make the handheld version in the first place?

  • bloodiOS

They should think about bringing the Arkham Collection to 8th-gen for some quick bucks.

Gee, Gematsu sure does seem to be getting out of hand with the overzealous comment deletion. First for a totally legitimate, level-headed criticism of a game/developer, and then harmless, non-provocative jokes. Kinda inconsistent, random and disturbing. Sorry, McPoo.
